@@thegmom7812 You are thinking irrationally. The first question is not how he can make it less loud. The first question is: Is it louder than legally allowed and if so, why? This would be the normal approach to this issue. Of course if you twist things up enough, you can make it look as if she is the one who is being irrational. Back to the issue, assuming it is in fact louder than legal. Why is it too loud? Because it is a race car? Actual race cars and race car parts are not road legal. If this car would normally be road legal, but is still too loud, then it must have a modded exhaust or a defective one. If either is the case he has two options: 1. Not use the car on a public road or 2. Revert it back to OEM exhaust, so it becomes road-legal again. This is how it works in germany and it's certainly not rocket science. Maybe it works differently in a shithole country? But I couldn't imagine. I hope this woman did file a case.

It isn't really a race car though... I'm guessing he said that because it has a race series muffler on it, but it is still perfectly legal to drive on the road & isn't even really that loud... at least not compared to the way she makes it seem. Sure it's louder than your typical vehicle, but I'm pretty sure my chainsaw is louder than the car is [at least when using the chainsaw as compared to whatever distance between the vehicle & the person's house.] Also, he said he simply drove it to work & back from work without letting a idle much otherwise... so how the f-ck is someone playing music loud at night while someone is trying to sleep remotely comparable? She never disputed or alleged he had done anything other than what he claimed to do with the vehicle so there is no reason to suspect or claim he was.

Unless you have lived near a person with a "race car" you really have no idea how loud it is. When you can't hear your own tv set with your windows closed... when you get woke up on Sat at 9am... when your dog hides under the couch quivering in fear... when you call the police with actual decibel readings from inside your home... when the police finally give a citation for public disturbance.... YEAH!!!

I don’t know but I think that the woman talking about loud car was right. There are some ear-busting cars out there, and if her neighbor has one of those, I absolutely support her dissatisfaction. Furthermore, she was very polite…Why is she a Karen?:/

I felt sad for the old lady picking the peppers. Maybe she’s short on money and this is what she has resorted to be able to feed herself and family. I know it was wrong but the bush sure had a lot of peppers on it and maybe the millennial could of given her some, times are tough for our seniors!

I feel bad for the Granny stealing the neighbours's chillies - yes, theft is theft but she might be hungry, in need and too embarrassed to ask for help. Times are tough and we need to watch out for the most vulnerable amongst us.

Granted yes she might be hungry, but there's a difference between asking for permission to take someone else's food and just assuming you can take it. If she had asked I'm sure the neighbor would've let her take some

My grandparents had neighbors who had a huge vegetable garden and always invited the seniors in the neighborhood to help themselves. They took what they needed but would have never dreamed of stripping the garden bare. That would have been beyond rude.

Anytime I've used Doordash (only twice when I was sick), I had to place the tip before completing the order. I Assume that's normal so that begs the question, why did the lady take that delivery order knowing it was an $8 tip if she felt it was lowballing? Just planned on bitching and expected her complaint would result in the man handing her some extra cash?

That's just silly. She simply meant it's not her problem that he's being stupid and buying stupid cars. Aka, it's his problem to make sure it's not too loud. Thus there was no check-mate, I think the driver just didn't get what she said.
@MrNunyoBidness

@@PovilasPanavas He got what she said. She didn't want to be bothered with "his" problem, which wasn't even his problem in the first place. HER problem of not liking his engine is (likely) HER problem. Not his. The only way he has a problem here is if his engine violates street noise ordinances. Moreover, since nobody else has complained, it's entirely likely that she is being over-sensitive.

@@E50AK But she's not defining that. It's already defined by law. You can have a race exhaust and use it in races. If you want to drive it elsewhere it should not exceed the legal noise limit, which I'm 100% certain that this car exceeds. Thus the owner is responsible to replace the exhaust.

The old lady was sad, I would invite her in for tea and talk to her about her situation, maybe she is poor and hungry, I know that is not an excuse to steal but she probably thought they would not miss it, we have turned a blind eye to the elderly and I would have liked to see that end better.
