That cop accidentally said the quiet part out loud in the first clip, you can't arrest someone for "mouthing off" to the police. Police often use disorderly conduct or breach of the peace as an excuse to arrest someone for lawful speech that they don't like, but it doesn't cover that. Failure to Obey an Officer is only applicable when the order is lawful, and since they cannot lawfully order you to stop talking it wouldn't apply here either. I hope she does get that lawyer and sue them, cops need to learn that creatively interoperating statutes to arrest people they don't like isn't an acceptable thing to do.... Oh, and I definitely shouldn't have to explain to anyone that threatening legal action does not qualify as terroristic threats.

wait til you get arrested for talking, elaine hinton... I dont wish you that but you will not have the same reaction if this happens to you. Being arrested for exercising your rights. She did no wrong, she talked while being evicted, cops were mean to her, didn't care about domestic violence that the man did, said to her "hurry up" like it was not hard enough to be evicted and abused by a man.

The police abused their authority in the first scenario. Ironically, they typically are the ones who have freedom from consequences. Luckily this bodycam footage exists, where we have an officer explaining that the reason she was arrested was for "mouthing off." Which, according to the First Amendment, shouldn't have happened, and the "mouthing off" that she did didn't fall within the exceptions that exist that allow for criminalization of speech.

Let’s apply that logic to the cops that illegally arrested her and revoke their qualified immunity!!

I agree that this woman is insufferable, but she was charged with "terroristric threats"? Seriously? This kind of charge can literally ruin someone's life. Ridiculous.

First arrest was unlawful and a violation of her rights regardless of how much “mouthing off” she was doing. Second arrest that guy needs mental health treatment not a jail cell. I usually enjoy the interactions on this channel but both of these videos are of tyrant oath breakers

Right she can speak as loud as she wants nothing disorderly like to whom? You can yell in public as loud unless I guess ur a nuisance

looks to me like she was packing up and just as she was about to leave was arrested for no reason. I get it she's annoying but she was compliant.

They have no empathy . She was already dealing with harsh reality but had to kick her when she’s down.

@@tinawindham6958 Poor woman, onyl had 3 years to leave the man she claims kept abusing her that SHE was found guilty of punching him int he face. Poor sweet little baby. She should be treated like the child she clearly is, sent to a home where parents can watch over her.
@insomniart7749Ай бұрын
Agreed. And while she obviously has history with them, the cops themselves said they’ve had to take him before for a DV situation. And when she talked about him blacking her eyes and busting her lip, she was very clearly talking about a past incident, so the smart commentary on the screen about her current complaint seemed petty.
