Legally, a person with a service dog is not required to tell anyone what service the animal provides. With that said, if you have a service animal, you should have a vest for your animal. Far too many people take advantage of "emotional support" animal vs. a trained service animal and that ruins it for people who have paid thousands of dollars for trained animals for legitimate reasons

at least the shop owner asked the only 2 questions allowed to be asked about a service animal, props to that man for knowing about service animals. 1: is it a service animal 2: what service does it provide no such things as papers, so putting on a vest is one of the best identity markers. sadly too people abuse emotional support animals as service animals and ruins it for people who actually have one.

Yeah I have low level autism and being touched is something I don’t really like but working at a grocery store bagging groceries I get old people who think it’s okay to squeeze my shoulder before they leave and then get confused when I shrug their hand off and step back
