Story 6- That has to be a very tough situation for Raider. Being a teenager and not quite having your stuff together is not at all abnormal. For the question of being g up very early in the morning listening to music when they told you not to do that. It can be understandable that they might of been concerned with you not getting enough sleep, but their overreaction to you "disobeying" them and being up is very disconcertingly!! They did not even want to listen to the OP at all and why he couldn't go back to sleep! Taking away his property, tracking him and grounding him are very harsh solutions to such a minor infraction? Is their another side of this that the OP is not telling us that would being this story together? The OP parents total disregard for why their son was up and about is very confusing Has the OP (Raider) maybe as a teenager could have shown to his family a little rebellion because of how he may take the way "his parents may be treating him and a lot of hurt because he feels betrayed that his parents don't trust him!!!" Teenagers can lash out in anger because they do not know exactly how to deal with their feelings. Their ability to cope with the adult world is still in the working process. Although, it is understandable that parents would want to seer their children on the right path if they see that they may be going off course, strict discipline alone is not always the best way to handle a situation, love and understanding must also be added into the situation to keep the balance. And yes, it is understood that sometimes children can most definitely push that to the limit with their behaviours, and sometimes if they do go beyond the limit, as a parent you have to use tough live, but still you need to remember love, patience, and understanding, because going too far with '' tough love" can also drive your children away from you because they do not understand why you are "being mean to them!!" All the explanations in the world to your children will not make them understand their fear and dislike of their parents, but they will still love you anyways!!
