What makes the woman in the first story think she could get away with stealing a debit card? Surely the card had the OP's name on it.

The chip. You can use it for purchase things without punching in a code. BUT, here in Sweden there is a limit for how much we can purchase that way before the card require a code anyway. If the system are the same in this case she could be lucky and get past without punching in a code but at $200 that is unlikely if there is a similar level limit as we got here. Imagine if you have to punch in a code for every $50 dollar stacking up from each purchase and you get it.

Second story: This woman doesn't seem to realize that she is being abused and she really should get out of that relationship. Just because it's not physical, it doesn't mean it's not abuse. Many people who are with people who are mentally and emotionally abusive will say that it's not an abusive relationship. Too many are dealing with narcissistic people and they are being gaslit, like this OP. When I say "narcissistic people", I don't mean that in a descriptive way but actual people who are narcissistic. Being bullied is never justified and she needs to dump those so called "friends".

💯 A lot of what they’re saying is textbook psychological and emotional abuse. Both from this boyfriend and their ‘friends’. They need to ditch them both. Just because you’re not book smart doesn’t mean you’re dumb and vice versa. People get trapped in these abusive relationships because abusers are great at finding people who have low self esteem and then erode it further from there. He probably justifies it by classifying her as a gold digger. I really hope that poster got the hell out!

Story 2: You are smarter than you know, just not in the usual aspects that people expect. To know that about yourself so young shows you are very intelligent in the intra-personal area. Story 3: If this is the first time that he did this, do not hold it against him if he is truly remorseful about it. Put some safeguards up, give it time to see if he slips again, and try to move on. Don't rush into a house purchase until you can see if he learned from his mistake. However, if he fell into the pressure to buy into "meme stock" (probably Doge coin) and just was hoping to get some extra cash to help with everything, then he was basically scammed. Story 4: I just wonder what she uses the extra money for. Maybe she has a lot of student loans that she is trying to pay off as quick as possible. Maybe she is trying to save up to pay cash for a house in the future. That would be my question to her. As for the gifts, just talk with her about it. Too many people think that everyone else can read minds and gets upset when people don't do what they wanted...when they never out right told them what they wanted.

Okay I was questioning the validity of the first story when the security guard rolled up, ignored the Karen, and started talking Arabic with the op, without even knowing he also spoke a rather uncommon language. The OP in the 2nd story just made me want to give them a hug... Like there are so many negative and toxic people all around the OP's life and it's no wonder they are believing the lies being told and seeing them as facts. The boyfriend, hopefully ex soon enough, and those "friends" need to get a reality check on how to treat a human being. It's sickening and OP deserves so much better overall. Hopefully they take the right steps forward to get into a healthier mindset and take off all this dead weight in their life

The dude didn’t want his girlfriend to pay for everything, he wanted her to actually contribute a little more. He payed more than her by a couple hundred dollars every two months even though his girlfriend makes like five times as much as he does. She doesn’t give him gifts for him, she didn’t contribute to the vacation besides a cheap hotel, and she doesn’t even want a cheap Uber to the airport or something. She, is, selfish, not completely but she is. She pays for a lot of small things and he pays for a few big things, and I’m pretty sure at least some of those things he bought were for her. She bought him a charger, a freakin charger that could degrade in anywhere between a couple weeks to a few years, and a towel that stays at her place, just one too.

@@africklefrackingperson7496 I was making the point of how one side of the political divide is always demanding free stuff while at the same time demanding rich people to pay more. The narrator said that quote, not the op guy.
@justinterested5819
@justinterested5819 Жыл бұрын
@@Ironica82 1) The thing is that the lower classes often dont get their fair share to begin with. Those who actually do the work should get the most. In reality, those who own Companies and Properties get most out of it, while the others who actually are responsible for creating things (even if its just organizing stuff/do sales/ect) get most often bread Crumbs. And while workers are expected to show loyalty, those workers are most often the first point where cost are cut, like they are just machines that can be scrapped and repurposed, when they cant fulfill the requirement anymore. 2) Giving out free stuff can actually benefit the rich/economy by increasing the productivity of a worker and such. Imagine someone being able building and maintaining robots that can do the work of dozens of workers while increasing speed and accuracy. Or poor people living in a social housing building reducing land use, traffic, emissions, water use and energy use while using public transport giving additional advantages that help the rich as well. Free health care for everyone makes good health care cheaper for rich people as well. That 100$ invested in public transport can lead to 500$ savings in mobility. This money can go somewhere where it does something useful for the person/public good, like a nice holiday, or an investment in a cancer research program. So much wasted potential in money and workforce.

In the final story, I believe that you're feeling is more complex than what is being portrayed by narrator. In the sense you may feel as though you are being expected to pay 50/50 on everything when in reality you aren't 50/50. There is a gap between you and partner finically based on what you said of around what 5x and it's fair if I was asked that the finical burden be split more in line to the true gap of what you earn in my opinion.

The second story was relatable. I don’t have a boyfriend, but I had a friend named Rickson who treated me horribly. He was my best friend and he would go around saying things about me that made look dumb. I believe he was jealous of how successful I was getting in middle school theatre. I am currently a high school freshman and I’m doing so much better in theatre without him. During my 7th grade year in January 2021, me and my twin sister were invited to join a really advanced musical theatre group for ages 10-17 at my theatre called Mainstage (It is currently 12-17 but we had younger cast members at the time). We were putting on “Wind in the Willows”. I was 13 years old (This was only a year ago so I’m 14 now) and our cast had 20 students and 3 directors. I joined very late compared to the other students because I was not in the earlier production of “Peter Pan”. Me and my sister were in the ensemble because all the other roles were already casted. It was still a lot of fun though. However, Rickson wasn’t invited so we didn’t have much time to talk. He would try and FaceTime me on my way home after every rehearsal and at first I was ok with it. My other best friends were in the show with me so we would always have fun together. After we did Wind in the willows, I went to a summer camp at that same theatre with Rickson and he told me he was auditioning for Mainstage. I really happy about that because I knew he was gonna get in because I knew he was ready. After summer camp, it was my 8th grade year and time for the auditions. We were putting on “Elf” in the fall and “42nd Street” in the spring. After I found out he got in I was so happy. We then had callbacks. After the callbacks the rolls were casted. I was Walter Hobbs (even tho I’m a girl) my sister was the manager. I got really excited because Walter Hobbs is a really really big part. However, Rickson was given a big part in 42nd Street, which was Billy Lawlor. I was casted in the ensemble but it was worth it. But since he was in the ensemble in Elf, he was also my understudy He was really jealous of me because he really wanted Walter Hobbs but at the same time he was happy because he got Billy. He thought it was weird that a girl was playing the part but it was the directors decision. All the other kids were happy about it. After we did elf, he became a huge jerk and started bullying me and was suspended from mainstage. His role in 42nd street was yet to be casted. It was all thanks to my other best friend, Zola that got him suspended. She knew that what he was doing was rude and told the teachers. After Elf it was time for Access Broadway. Our theater won a big award which was Best musical theater school. This was in February of this year. All of us were so happy and we had a party before we started 42nd street. When we started 42nd St, it was announced that Asa would be playing the role of Billy Lawlor. 42nd St. lost a couple cast members so we had use a couple understudies. It was still really really good and a big hit with audiences. I am currently in my high school freshman year and we are doing Mary Poppins in the fall and into the woods in the spring. In Mary Poppins I am the ensemble and the understudy for Robertson Ay and in into the woods I am the wolf. I feel a lot safer now that he’s gone, and I learned to move on.

Geez dude, if i had a gf who making half a million a year i'd try and get married as soon as possible and then retire and live off my rich sugar mama. Don't get me wrong, what you make is nothing to sneeze at, but it's not half a million dollars either. My point is, get the girl in some kind of contract, do the stay-at-home dad thing, and focus on relaxing as much as possible.

Story number 2: As everyone says the girl needs to get out. I also have a hard time believing she's as stupid as she thinks. In my experience really stupid people rarely are self reflective enough to see and accept the fact. She surely is very insecure and no wonder when people around her treat her like that. Are they jealous of her beauty? Not doing well in school and messing things up could be caused by undiagnosed attention deficit disorder or depression, it's not necessarily stupidity.

Story #2 definitely sounds like the bf trying to groom op to be an obedient slave in the future. It boils my blood thinking that the bf would do such a thing. Really disgusting.
