Story 1:- Good Job for the O/P to keep his calm. As a dog owner myself if some stranger ever tried to take my dogs leash, I would make sure they left with 1 broken teeth and no dog. Someone tried to take my dog once but she is a English Mastiff and a total giant baby and would never hurt anyone unless she had to and she is well trained and also huge. She is 250 pounds so when the guy asked to pet her I said yes but I was briefly distracted and he grabbed her leash and tried to pull her away so I gave her the command and she raised up on her hind legs and put her front paws on his shoulders and put her face in his and bared her teeth and she was taller than him. He immediately dropped the leash screamed and as soon as I told her get down and she did he bolted. I was just shocked someone would try and take a dog her size plus I was carrying a firearm on my hip, I'm retired law enforcement and it's legal in my State.

Forcing an allergic reaction I Know someone that did that. This was back in 1970. One of my brothers was allergic to Honeydew Melon. He worked at a meat packing plant in Greeley, Colo.(Mon***) and they had gone 18 days without a day off. He was WORN OUT so he went and bought a Honeydew Melon and ate some for supper. Went to the E.R. room that night and they told him he was allergic to HONEYDEW and gave him a note for a week off from work. Rash, hives, but NO breathing problems!

Story 3: Supervisors like that are the reason why people are always quitting food industry jobs. I used to work in the kitchens for a nursing home, and my supervisor knew I had an allergy to coconut. However, he didn't care and always seemed to serve desserts with coconut, and I had to bus the tables as part of my job at the time. No matter how many pairs of gloves I wore (I always double or triple gloved if needed), I always ended up having a reaction and would spend the rest of my day scratching the shit out of my hands after taking a Benadryl. There was even one day when he made ambrosia salad and told me to taste test it before serving it to the residents. For anyone who doesn't know (I definitely didn't know before this), ambrosia salad is usually but not always made with coconut flakes, and, anytime I had it, there had been no coconut due to the personal preference of my family members. My tongue swelled to the point that I couldn't talk right for about 2 hours, and my face grew red and puffy. You know what my supervisor did? I got told to finish working THEN go ask for a Benadryl from the nursing station in my area. Thankfully, one of the nicer nurses came in to drop off some dishes and noticed my allergic reaction. She ran to get me a Benadryl and even helped out in the dining room as much as she could until the swelling started to go down. I went to the doctor later and was told I was okay, but I never trusted my supervisor after that.

My sister came for a few days, almost a week and a bit more. One day she came and tried to pick up both of my dogs for a walk. I don't really trust her since PLENTY of back story but since i was tired I simply let her do, though there's a counter part. The younger dog acts pretty friendly around known people, the older one does too once he sees that they are not a threat to me or my mother. The plot-twist comes when i have to tell her about how they behave, hand her the stuff, a ball for them to run after and a bottle of water for when they pee in the street... The older dog didn't wanted to leave the house unless I was coming out with him too, barking and crying, trying to get to my side and scratching the floor as my sister tug on the leash until i told her i was taking on my shoes and going with her to walk the dogs. He is really loyal and behaves really good, he sits, gives both paws, lies down, comes to me if i tell him to... He even runs after the ball that i throw just to fetch it and bring it over to me to throw it again. I think I'll be stuck with this piece of heaven for a really good and sweet time ^_^

Goodness, if dogs could talk. That elder dog of yours was a very smart boy, he knew who not to go with. I have a couple of stories like that myself, our lab doodle was a better watchdog than guard dog, but there are two occasions where his instincts Were spot on. Usually loved all people, but one guy came the door and threatened my mom and he wouldn’t come to this guy, but he came to the police officer who came about 5 to 10 minutes later they just now.

2nd story It's true that she approached it the wrong way, but it's also true that she can't just keep holding his hand and dealing with the problems when he's not following through. especially with the lying. If he had been honest about his struggles and just given her the opportunity to be there for him and help him get through the addiction, then it would've been a different story. The better way to address the issue would be "I want us to be together, but I don't want this addiction to come between us. I will do everything I can to support you in quitting and I will work with you on bettering yourself. But only if you put in the effort. No lying no hiding. Remember that the quitting is as much for you as it is for me, and I want nothing more than to help you." That still puts your foot down and doesn't give room for him to just not try, but instead of making it a "you must quit for me" thing, it's an "I don't think this is good for you and I want to help you out of it" thing.

NTA or NTJ for the second story. Addiction is hard to kick, but at the same time, he risked his snake’s life, and he was hiding that he was still doing it. If there’s even a chance of reconciliation, I think OP should insist that he try and kick the habit, even if it means he needs a bit of support to do so. Nicotine patches, gums, there are options to wean down and off the nicotine, and if I recall correctly, there is stuff that can make you throw up if you drink, effectively breaking that habit.

There was one time someone hopped the back fence of the house where we grew up. My dog, a toy poodle, was running around chasing birds and started barking at this guy. So my brother and I ran out the back with this knucklehead trying to grab her. Well, we jumped him asking what he was doing. "Uh you got a cute dog" By the time we were done with him, he had his face smashed in dog poo and tossed out the back gate that led to a hill. Cops showed up and we told them what we did. As someone whose cousin has an allergy to nuts, I really dislike this boss. While sure, the person with the allergy really should've stood up for himself and said that it's not healthy for him to touch the bowl, the boss should've also realized that the guy had a reason to be unfit for that particular situation. No matter who was "at fault" here, the guy really could've been seriously injured by these actions, and I wish he had someone to step up for him and help him get it through that he really couldn't do this particular task due to allergy.

I have aggressive breast cancer (0-55mm in two months) and Fibromyalgia, plus autism which my mother kept from me for 30 years. I have three neices, the oldest being 18, whom I have zero contact with what with being the family freak. My family know about the fibro (what with going through a major temperature related seizure in front of them) but not about the BC because I'd deserve it for transitioning (despite the fact that I have triple negative breast cancer which is non hormone responsive) even though I'm the first in my family to have cancer and its caused by genetic damage from my father's job (agrochem). I'm convinced that the intersex condition is caused by this too. I have had to deal with this on my own because my family delight in destroying my friendships and relationships, they have abused me in the past and would think nothing of bullying their way into my funeral or medical records. I have a code lock on my medical records so they can't.. I have literally had to put a password on my medical records. I have my eldest neices email and all three need to be tested for BC genes. My cancer is not responding to chemo. If I contact her to try and save her life, my father will bust my door down to physically assault me, if I don't it'll be my fault she's ill. I am barely coping as it is. My mental health is gone. My physical health is destroyed. I have had to have surgeries combined because I'm too weak from the fibro to deal with the chemo & everything else, and the next chemo batch is Red Devil. I need advice. Do I hang Seryn and her two sisters out to dry and preserve the safety and little physical/mental health I have left. Or do I tell her and have the rest of them swarming around offering false help and constant emotional and psychological abuse? I don't know what to do for the best and the situation is harming my already fragile health... The last time I saw Seryn was at 18 months. They've done me no harm whatsoever.

I've heard stories about snakes going missing for months at a time, even a whole year, then randomly turning up, healthy or not, just, turning up alive. So i conclusion snakes are very hardy and cant be killed very easily.
