II'm baffled because that video was as clear as mud. Not locking eyes with the flight attendant doesn't automatically mean his ears took a hike, right? My ears are the ones doing the heavy lifting when it comes to listening, not my eyeballs. I'm the type who can't staple my stare to someone when they're blabbering away. My brain has to multitask to snag the words. Now, if the dude was jamming to tunes or catching Z's with his lids closed, I'd understand the commotion.
