@Yoruake89 Жыл бұрын
This is such a wholesome thought. The Livestream was so wholesome too. I will most certainly watch next years championship too. Just because it was so much fun to talk about things like: "How long will it take the first person to finish? Who will finish first?" Sarahs Mum was in the chat (Shoutout to her, she was AMAZING)! This is the most wholesome sportsevent on earth :D
@PreservationEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
Yes, you are right about Alejandro. The kindest, most humble, and nicest puzzler out there. A true champion and the most skilful. He can remember and place pieces fastest. He has unreal skill like Kristen. Another person in the comments was questioning Alejandro. They couldn't even spell his name right! I can only assume it was jealousy on their part.
@aartadventure Жыл бұрын
10:30 Alejandro can recognise Kristen is a bit disappointed here (despite her incredible 2nd place effort!), and even makes an effort to comfort and congratulate her. He is so sweet. It would be amazing to see them do a pairs comp together!

It also looks like all the footage of him is sped up just because he moves SO FAST!!! It’s insane to watch.
@PreservationEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
@@aartadventure Kristen only got closer to Alejandro this time because she learned from his two handed style. Previously she was using a one handed style. More hands. More efficient! This was a fact Karen failed to mention. She just said Kristen got better but really she was emulating the master. We may see future competitions where Kristen will win. These two are so far ahead of other people. It is about memory and insane piece/colour recognition as well being able to rotate pieces in your mind or find them again instantly. It's not something you can teach at their level. It would be good to see them do pairs together, but I don't see it happening as they are in different countries and can't practice together.

I think that the fact that Alejandro was consistently in top 3 of everything is a really good metric to show that he's truly best of the best. And while he seems to be really gracious, Kristin finishing right after him will likely motivate Alejandro to train for next year more than last year's win. I also really understand Kristin's disappointment, for a while I thought she was going to finish first. And it was only 30 seconds.

This is why you are the best youtube jigsaw puzzle content creator. I've watched the live streaming when it happened and with these 3 videos you've put together, I feel like I'm watching movies! Great editing, great commentary narrative, great footages, and great music choice!

As an Aussie we will definitely take a puzzler as good as you.

You're second to none for producing all these wonderful videos. You can really feel the energy & tension in the air! I really love the pairs puzzle, but I know I couldn't finish it in the time.

Since I can't participate in these events I love watching them. I was watched just about all of the Worlds livestream this year and last year. I also watched this year's Great Canadian Puzzle competition. I heard that the Australian National in Feb 2024 will be livestreamed and I plan to watch that too.

The US Nationals plan to live stream aa well. The US has a national membership that meets once a month to puzzle via zoom, maybe you can see if your country has that as well (I'm assuming Canada?). The US one allows for more serious puzzlers a well as those who just want to socialize. I attended last month for the first time and really enjoyed it.

@@SuperMrsMar I'm in the US but not in California. i just happened to see the Canadian contest on puzzler's channel. Watched the US Nationals' livestream last year and Karen's recap. (I follow USA Jigsaw Puzzle Association on IG.) US Nationals in March 2024 is marked on my calendar. Thank you.

This is such a joy to watch. You can tell how much time you invested in these videos. Not to mention, the way you compile so much data into infographics is incredibly impressive!
