The color mixing in your tutorials are inspirational. As a beginner, I tend to go with straight colors rather than mixing colors for depth. I’ll rewatch and try to follow your ideas. I love how you use salt, spattering, Brusho etc. Please keep posting your inspirational videos. I’ve learned so much and look forward to each one.

What a fun way to paint. I am not a beginner, but tend to paint detailed paintings. Sometimes, it would be great to just relax and create flow by painting wet into wet and then a few details.

I struggle to follow video tutorials - I struggle with watercolour. My approach this time was to simply watch the video, make notes, pause and then start to paint. First time I finished a piece of work. Not only did I finish it, I also learned fair bit from the video. Thank you

Thank you, Karen for your marvellous videos which are really inspirational. I shall certainly be trying this one. As I also do pointed pen calligraphy, I often use a dip pen for intricate masking fluid work especially for things like the grasses in this painting and ears of corn etc. You can apply pressure to the nib to form lovely pear shaped ears of corn or fine petals which look great. I use a Leonardt Crown nib mostly and these are available from Scribblers Calligraphy Supplies for less than a pound.

I’m going to try to the different washes light to darker. I’ve been an oil or acrylic painter and tend to just go for it but I love this painting and I think using the technique you are using will help to get the effect I’m loving. Thank you for the tutorial.
