Hi Karen! Doing it all: clarifying shampoo that has ACV 2x, purple shampoo, low porosity shampoo/conditioner 2x, split ends mender, and leave in detangler every week!! I've been using a scrub brush for about a year. Every other week, it's a deep conditioner under a dryer. It's been 1.5 months with this updated process due to using the right products, and there is a drastic change with my hair and how it feels. I'm excited about the new changes to get my hair to grow. I do not use serums or growth drops because I've experienced hair loss with such products and do have CCCA on my crown. Keep the info videos coming, as I've learned how to do some things correctly that were never taught properly, and I'm 63😊😊.

I agree with you about the co-wash. I tried this years ago and it left a lot of buildup. Never again! I didn’t know co-washing could eventually break your hair off.

I really enjoy listening to you. I'm transitioning to natural hair 5 months in and because I've been getting educated on my hair it's been doing quite well it's getting thicker but the breakage has been minimal I go to my beautician about once a month and she trims my ends. You give good information.
@KarenofCurlHouse8 ай бұрын
That is awesome! You keep you right on in your transition educating yourself BEFORE you are totally natural. You will avert so many mistakes some make when they are new to natural because you are properly educating yourself now. Kudus to you! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. You are making a significant impact! 😭 I've embraced my natural hair for just over a year now, and while I don't struggle with growing it, my hair tends to get extremely DRY! I might need to enroll in your course to gain a deeper understanding of how to care for my hair properly. Quick question - does my hair type really play a role in the hair care process? I have a 3c/4a hair type
@KarenofCurlHouseАй бұрын
Hey there! Thank you so much! I really appreciate! I'm not a big fan of hair typing as the end all be all when it comes to moisture, I think what is more important is knowing your moisture cycle -- which is how often you need to moisturize your hair, and even know your porosity can help with this as well. Pretty soon when my product line relaunches I will include a moisture rich cream that will help super dry hair as well. You can join the wait list to be notified when it launches: mailchi.mp/e3ad21062c21/product-relaunch Here a few videos that may help you with your hair: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWnRcquXm9FkZ7M kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqXJpppomah0otU kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5m9nqSsaMSDn6s

Thank you, Karen. I have been putting the shampoo on my hair for years. When you showed us where and how. It has made an instant difference. It was growing nicely but jumped since I started putting the shampoo directly on my scalp. Don't laugh before some was getting there but not like now.❤

@KarenofCurlHouse I love your videos. The menopause one hit home. Couldn't figure out why my hair was so dry. It's getting better now. I had to go old school, bergamot hair grease right after conditioner. It's crazy but absorbs, and it adds the weight i need. I use styling creams, too, for moisture and hydration. 4 years later, I'm still learning.

Hey, I'm really enjoying your channel. I'm having trouble with tangled hair especially during while shampooing on wash day. Mostly at the scalp or mid-length of my hair. What could be the matter? Makes me not want to wash it at all. Also, I just thought about it, having trouble with breakage at the edges. I rarely use edge control. My kids even have trouble with their edges. What do you think about that? Thank you so much!

What about dipping your fingers into the shampoo? And then letting your fingers slide through underneath your hair onto the scalp in sections..

The thing I notice that people don't talk about short hair washing the shampoo goes on the hair and scalp long hair I see this working but short hair the shampoo goes on both just something to think about 😉

So should I stop doing the Anthony Dickey cowashing?
@KarenofCurlHouse9 ай бұрын
I’m sure his Co wash is one of the brands that have surfactants in them for cleansing, so you don’t have to stop using cowashes all together, but incorporate a regular shampoo at some point as well.

I use an exfoliating brush & is coconut oil a co-wash or a pre-poo? Thanks for explaining how to use ACV rinses 👍

Hi Karen! Can I have more information on co-washing? I didn't quite understand. Is it similar to the acv? Is it something to do every wash? Thank you for all the information!
@KarenofCurlHouse9 ай бұрын
Hey there! No - Co washing is NOT like ACV rinsing at all. Co-washing is pretty much using conditioner to cleanse your hair as opposed to shampoo. I don't recommend co- washes because it builds up on your hair over time. SO DON'T CO-WASH. Use shampoo to wash your hair, then conditioner to condition.
