Hi Guys, Welcome to our new vlog. This video is about the Srinagar to Kargil road trip. This was one of the most interesting so far as we crossed the mighty Zojila Pass and it's a gateway to Zanskar valley. It is famous as one of the most challenging high mountain passes in the Leh Ladakh region. Its altitude is 11675ft. So if you are planning for a Srinagar to Kargil road trip, it's better to start early from Srinagar.

Hazratbal Dargha - The Hazratbal Shrine, considered to be the holiest Muslim shrine in Kashmir, is located on the left bank of the Dal. The mosque was established by Inayat Begum who was the custodian of the holy relic – the Moi-e-Muqqadas, which is believed to be a hair of the Prophet Mohammed
Zozila Pass / Zero Point/ Gateway to Ladakh - This was one of the most interesting so far as we crossed the mighty Zojila Pass and it's a gateway to Zanskar valley. It is famous as one of the most challenging high mountain passes in the Leh Ladakh region. Its altitude is 11675ft.
Kargil War Memorial - Situated in the Drass village of Kargil district, this victory monument was built after the Indian Army pushed away the Pakistani troops and gained control over the region. This momentous victory in the battlefield was announced on 26th July 1999, which is celebrated as Vijay Diwas every year.
Dras River - The combined river is alternatively called Suru, Drass and Shingo by various local groups. Drass has become famous as the 2nd coldest inhibited place in the world after Siberia, this region witnesses extremely cold weather and very heavy snowfalls, hence explaining the local name for the town, “Hembabs” (snow land).
Hunderman LOC view point - Hundurmaan is one of the northernmost hamlets in India and is situated in the Kargil district of Ladakh. Located on the banks of the Suru River 10 km from Kargil, it is a hamlet under Shilikchey village of Kargil district.] It was under Pakistan's control until 1971.
