Wow! What gorgeous lyrics. That can only come from a true relationship with God I tell you. Mind blown how deep the lyrics are. Funny thing is that I've been saved for 8 yrs and that is how I meet God. In a garden inside my mind. It's like my soul goes there and it only God and I and we talk. There are many trees, flowers, even fountains, a castle where I can rest, and animals. One of my favorite places is the Field of Promises where thousands of flowers that glow in the dark whisper back all the promises of God cause He was there talking to them about me and all His promises to me. There is also a lake which I love to spend time on a boat flowing in the water and I love to spend my time there leaning on Jesus chest and just talking. There is also a waterfall with a little palace there where I worship Him and refresh my soul. Whenever I say I'm spending time in the garden I meant intimacy with the Lord in this wonderful garden with so many memories. The moon shines so big and there is a sky full of stars. There are trees that bear different fruits and we walk and talk as we discuss if it's doing okay or not and how to improve it. He tends all the trees and flowers. It's a huge garden and it's my favorite place. And only I can go into this garden cause God gave me the key to it. There are different seasons too. Whenever I'm going through a winter God shows me that there is life even though all the flowers died, there is still the most beautiful flowers growing in the winter. I love it cause He takes good care of me and truly treats me like His queen.

There is so much truth in this song. I have suffered, as we all have, and in my darkest moment, as I was crying, I realized that Jesus was with me the whole time. I have been blessed in my suffering, in that in means I have been able to weep at Jesus's side in the garden, as He did the night before His Passion. In our suffering, we are closest to God. But, there is hope, as well. The ivy grows through the wall and towards the light, and so can we. Once we see God, the trials of this world seem small. (except on mondays. mondays still suck.) This song means everything to me it explains exactly what I went through last year. I lost something very dear to me, and It crushed my dreams. I lost my confidence, and I lost all hope in Christ. I didn't know what do anymore fear surrounded me. Ever since my band left me I've felt like I can't do it that I will never be the same. They made me feel as if I wasn't good enough. When I heard this song God just surrounded me. For a moment my mind was at peace, and I've come to realize that things happen for a reason. We might not understand why, but we have to have hope that something good is in store for us. Who would we be without pain. How would we know our own strength. Originally when I heard this song, I really didnt understand it. But after hearing the meaning when you went on tour I always think of your sister and how God lifted her out of a situation that is extremely hard for a person to go through, no excuses for that pain. Thank you for this beautiful song, I had to say farewell to my beautiful Aunt Carol yesterday as we laid her body to rest. She was a Master Gardener and she taught me many things about the Garden. It was her favorite place to be. She was always saving seeds for me. and she and I spent many hours together working in her beautiful garden. The last conversation we had a few days before she passed away was about the flower bulbs she wanted me to help her plant for this coming Spring. Thank you for this song, it has helped me very much to have some peace in my heart in my time of sorrow. I am going to plant my own garden in her memory with the seeds she left for me.

I just got introduced to Kari Jobe a few weeks ago. I play drums for my local Assembly of God Church and I had to learn Revelation Song for a Sunday line up. I play all conventional (rock) band instruments and up till last year at this time I was always in death metal/grindcore bands, playing either guitar or bass, depending on the band. I toured all over the continental U.S. with bands like Deicide, Napalm Death, Morbid Angel, Every Time I die, Buried Alive, Earth Crisis, All Out War, Hatebreed, etc etc... I've always had a strong relationship with Jesus but I was alone in it my whole life, at odds with my friends and peers, thinking I didn't need a Pastor or some Church to identify and have fellowship with. I loved God but I hated being accountable. Along the way I developed an all consuming heroin addiction and I loved the drug the way a husband loves his wife.. And eventually the reality of where I was in life caved in both aggressively and completely. Waking up sick every day and all the things that come with its solution was killing me. -And I was begging God for a way out. Needless to say Jesus delivered me from Heroin. He delivered me from hate, aggression, loneliness and complacency. As a direct result of all of this I also found a Church. A church that backs me up. A church that believes in me. It took six months to be allowed to play drums in their band and another six months before Church leadership voted me onto the worship team full time and all I can say is it was worth every bit of effort it took to get where I am today. Jesus had me in the palm of his hand the entire time. He opened up doors for me that allow a rich and fruitful relationship with my God and my life is now a dedication to Jesus in all things...
