Күн бұрын

Welcome to Jafffa Adventures where Jill and Terry take off for a half year trip through the remote regions of South Australia and Western Australia. The genesis of the trip was the solar eclipse at Exmouth on April 20th, but we decided to turn the adventure into half a year on the road visiting the most remote places we could get. In this video we continue to explore Karijini National Park, or the old name of Hamersley Range National Park. We visit some very remote spots in this park, areas that are off the beaten tourist path. We will share with you all the highlights and remote places to visit in and around this overlanding mecca, including detailed maps and explanations that show you how to get to all these great spots. Come join us!
If West Australia 4WD and off road tracks are not on your bucket list, they should be!!
If you like overlanding, if you like remote unspoiled places, if you like 4WD action, then this is the place to be.

Terry and Jill , I love Your attitude about only leaving foot prints , in all Your Jafffa Adventures , the Jafffa Crew always respected the country and tracks , going out of Your way , not do damage and keep water crossing to a minimum .... Keep up the good work , both are Hero in Outback Touring and Tread Softly .... Cheers ....

Thanks , in 1985 I did a road trip from Sana a to Hodeidah in Yemen , during this trip , You knew You coming to a village because a few KMs before and after the villages littering the desert was plastic bags , fast forward to Aust today , You know You are coming up to a camp site , is the amount of toilet paper and rubbish lying about , some people should stay home , some of big boys on You Tube are doing more damage than good with their videos , full noise , wheel spining and lifting action .... Cheers @@JafffaAdventures

Agree mate, big lift, I nearly rolled it, huge wheel spins all get the clicks. It would be good if a lot of these big names on the large channels were less self absorbed and were more giving of their time and appreciation for the bush. I guess that does not get the clicks, nor the moola. Cheers👍😎

You're getting pretty good at this youtube gig, mate! The editing to the music was great! It looks amazing out there, quintessential outback Australia, if you ask me. Thanks for the video.

Hi Terry and Jill, living the dream! Terry, you couldn’t have put it any other way about using the your diff locks. The heros who think it is weak to use them are the ones having our tracks and access to our country closed. Diff locks and other technoloies are to assist for a reason, people dont have any mechanical sympathy for their vehicles and equipment. Cheers 👍

Cheers Chris, we are certainly humbled to be able to travel this amazing country of ours like we do. Mechanical sympathy is certainly your friend, even more so in remote locations like this. Thanks for sharing mate, I sincerely appreciate it 👍😎

Another WOW! moment!! You can't beat those red cliffs, white gums & reflections on the water. Those kinds of camping spots are hard to leave especially only spending 1 night there! Even a "flat day" is made better with such beautiful scenery like that!!! Oh! I can't help but feel for those who were in the cruiser, it must not have been good😥 Yes, back to the diff locks again, I'm a firm believer, 1). they are actually a cheap investment in the overall cost of a vehicle 2). if you have them, use them as you mention Terry it's kinder on your vehicle but it certainly is also kinder on the country too (I've followed some very obviously open wheelers into many places where they've cut the tracks up, so part of my vehicle prep is to also think about how you leave your foot prints, not just getting through, so I couldn't agree more with your statement!! 👍👍Thanks once again for some fantastic footage, I had an early knock off today so I couldn't wait to grab a beer & see what you had install (& as per usual, it was awesome!!) Cheers Guys!!

Many thanks for another great video. This one brought back some fond memories. We visited the region during our 3-month trip to 🇦🇺 in 2009. Our twins celebrated their 4th birthday in Coral Bay, just a few days after we did an impressive guided tour in the Tom Price Mine ("A drinking town with a mining problem“ 😂) and drove up Mt Nameless. Greetz from Europe

As I understand the situation, Australia has the oldest undisturbed land and rock formations in the world. So much older than the Grand Canyon, the Himalayas and the African plains. I’m sure somebody will correct me if I’m wrong! Only fools don’t use their tools!

I had several sets of Cooper STT’s on my 80 Series over 20 years of ownership, and the last few years of that they had some real quality issues. When I bought my 200 I switched to BFG KM3’s. I had 2 sets and the second set was destroyed on our WA trip along the telegraph track. I was pretty disappointed in the quality of that second set. While in Perth, I replaced them with Toyo Open Country muddies and love them. They have been abused to death on the WA trip, took a flogging on our recent Tasmania trip, and we will probably get one more big trip out of them. Now bear in mind the type of travel we do, it’s pretty extreme. I usually get around 30,000km out of a set of muddies and these ones will be no different BUT, they are not damaged like my Coops or BFG’s got after this type of abuse. Side walls are perfect, and treads are wearing evenly. When the Toyos do die, I’ll replace them with the same. I did go one size up over my old tyres as well, now 295/70/17’s. Enjoy your journey mate👍😎
