I think that the shift from House of Bohn exclusively to Personal / Interior Design is a great shift. I particularly also love Bohn Appetite with a few receipts and things like that 👏🏼🙌🏼 sometimes takes the understanding that a step back is the best way to get impulse for many steps forward…downsizing on your case actually means expansion to an extent. Congratulations on everything Karin, you love the camera and the feeling is mutual so good to watch! ( editing is A M A Z I N G as well ) ❤️

Hi Karin! - WOW, WOW, WOW! I am so happy to see that you have altered the space to reflect exactly what you and HOB stand for and represent, marrying your love for media and interior design. As an OG subscriber, I have had the privilege and joy of following the journey and evolution over many years. During this time I have loved all the content, my favourite type of content is the vlogs and the way you created them with a theme and a message, I have felt that there has always been sincerity, authenticity and a genuine connection with you. That being said my intuition was telling me that there was much more being experienced for you, those in your life, the team and HOB as a business that you were not ready to share yet. And you know what, that was and still is absolutely fine. Sharing everything as and when it happens with everyone is not healthy, nor do you have to share it at all. Getting our bearings, being on one path to only find that it leads to another (one that is often very different than what we expected and scares the hell out of us), taking time to recalibrate, regenerate, and reignite the fire at what seems to be the most inconvenient and worse timings ever, and sometimes realising we just got it wrong this time round reminds us that this journey is going to make us grow and live in ways we never knew. Your journey is yours, and 'you do you', that being said I cannot wait to see what is coming. 'In Good Company' is a great homage 'with a twist' to the cocktail conversations and I really look forward to seeing the vlog content with all of the transformations and changes you discussed in this video. It's Okay to Not Be Okay, and Thank You for sharing your journey, past, present and future. You are an inspiration to us all xxx

Thank you for always sharing and being so inspiring and here’s to an amazing rest of 2021 xx

That's a great update and great news! I started watching you a few years ago, I was very inspiring for me to see how you built your design practice. And as much as I love your style and projects, I must admit that I was visiting your channel less frequently lately... As an interior designer just starting on my own I feel very often overwhelmed, really not knowing which way to go to get my business up and going. I also know it's my mindset I need to work on. I would love to see more content where you talk about the bumps you hit when running your business and how you overcome and deal with problems, external and internal. I loved your honesty and openness in this video, thank you for sharing this with all of us ❤

I was incredibly thankful for your recent reminder that it's never to late....I'm 50 and very successful working as a design consultant for a high end furniture company. I've had my own home staging company in the past too. These roles have served me very well in the past BUT I need more. Time to figure out where to go back to school for interior design? I live in New England in the US, do you have any suggestions?

Reflection and renewal are key. However, personally I prefer interior design content and less personal sharing. Less personal sharing given the nature of social media criticism. Not interested in grocery halls or cooking videos . Ha ha……not expecting that anyway! Best wishes with your choices. At the end of the day I like to have learned something new. LOL

Girl, I never understood how you were able to take on so much extra work! This was enlightening. BTW, I once read an account by someone who used to work with Kelly Wearstler say that her business was sheer chaos, so maybe the biggies get overwhelmed too. Interior design has so many moving parts and details, I can't imagine how you did so many other things. Also glad to hear you jettison "the brand" . . . I'm too old to appreciate the modern emphasis on "brand" . . . we used to just live.

Love the video and I’ve been watching for 5 years. I loved your channel for the real content. You showed days at the office, growing pains, work meetings, negotiations, figuring out media content etc etc. it was very real and was so excited every time you put up a new video. Then it became more scripted and less real time sharing of what you were dealing with and I still watched bc I understood that as a business grows you don’t always want to share as much. I just found myself going back and watching old videos of yours a lot over the last 2 years. I’m very excited to hear that you’re considering going back to your previous content but with a new twist. Love the new series! I love hearing how other entrepreneurs got their start. Thank you for the content and for sharing a lot of real time business tips and things you’ve learned along the way. As an entrepreneur (who does interior design and owns a furniture and decor store) I went through the exact same thing at year 9 of 13. After year 10 I came to the realization that “right-sizing” means keeping the team small, accepting only the highest quality projects and being at peace that the value of having fun and keeping happy outweighs my bank account. Proud of you and more people need to hear that “rightsizing” is also a valued chapter of the entrepreneur journey.

I really did appreciate seeing the house of bohn content, especially you building and managing that brand (small biz/interior design brand). Still in awe with how you seemed to manage it all so well. Having said that, I think Karen Bohn is also a brand of its own (beyond the interior design and small biz) and would love to see how you build that “brand” outside of house of bohn. Perhaps it would be good to have two separate YT channels to build those brands separately? Just a thought but given the stress you’re trying to release not sure if you have the bandwidth to manage 2 YT channels 😅
