No bs Tamara Dobson was my neighbor in Baltimore. She was my moms school mate I know her whole family. She had a beautiful Afro and she thought it was still the 70’s. So tall and statuesque. She was so beautiful and quiet. She walked a lot with the big dogs every day. I didn’t know about her movie roles until my mom explained to me about what they did to her in Hollywood. Her brother and sister Darryl told me about the horror stories she told before she came back from Hollywood. Severe mental illness all from what they did to her in that evil town. She looked so young and she would always tell me that I had to be braver than her dogs. Never run she said. May she rest in perfect peace ❤BALTIMORE CITY ❤❤❤

I'm so glad you did a story on her. I'm not quite as tall as Tamara I'm about 6'1 but when I was a teenager somebody called me Tamara Dobson. As a teen I didn't know who she was so I looked up her and ever since then I've loved her. Tamara also was refused work because she wouldn't do nudity or casting couches. Please do supermodel Beverly Johnson if you can.

Vonetta McGee was one of the most beautiful and popular Blaxploitation actresses -- right up there with Tamara, Brenda, Pamela. She starred in movies like Hammer, Shaft in Africa, Thomasine & Bushrod, etc. She also co-starred in a movie with Clint Eastwood. Coverage of Blaxploitation actresses without the inclusion of this super star would be a miss.

Ohhh, YES, MA'AM SHE is a style icon for me as Cleopatra Jones parts 1 AND 2 being that my personal style is vintage/dated and classic and I love that era of fashion most. I have taken a liking to her since seeing her in those movies (I collect blaxploitation movies). Pam Grier may have been on the forefront of that era and props to her accordingly. But Tamera Dobson was it for me. It's not only her character role but also something about her that exudes sophistication and a true lady that's reserved.
