Radio has strict guidelines, and it's not a tinpot radio station of a Saturday afternoon with single digit listeners that'll fly under the radar, so yeah the host is wise to acknowledge it to get ahead of any complaints that'd cause a headache for those in charge. It's not *his* feelings, it's the nature of British radio.
