@@barringtonfisher87 I'm willing to change my mind on this, but I dont think he's dumb. Just uneducated and naive. His views, although wrong a lot of times, are logical conclusions, considering his lack of education and that. Does that make sense?
@Nabium
@Nabium 2 жыл бұрын
@4th Chairman No.
@Nabium
@Nabium 2 жыл бұрын
@4th Chairman Logic is the ability to draw rational conclusions based on necessary circumstances. Maybe it's a bad way to define it, but Karl does not exceed in this field. He does not have a high intelligence. What he does have is the ability and will to speculate, hypothesize and theorise. Which is what most people lack these days. Due to the nature of education and religion and it's influence on society, people forget how to speculate and think about things. They don't have the ability to wonder. And so he has a good ability to think about things and postulate independent ideas. This makes him a philosopher, in my book. But since he's thick as pudding, the thoughts become entertaining more than mind blowing. If you think he's smart or logical, then either you don't understand the definition of those terms, or you just don't have the ability or perspective to understand whether or not he is smart or logical. No intelligent person would ever see him as logical, he doesn't make logical reasoning or conclusions. I think he's an inspiration to us all because intelligence is an ability not equally distributed, and thus not all can achieve it - but speculation and thoughtfulness and wondering about the world is something few have but we all can achieve.
@Nabium
@Nabium 2 жыл бұрын
@4th Chairman Making sense in a strange sort of way is not logic. His intelligence is displayed when other people try to explain things for him and he fails to understand. I'd say his iq should be around 80-90. But I mean we can discuss this all we want, and won't see eye to eye. At least I explained my point of view, and you yours.

Holy crap, I never heard of this man before and 2 and a half minutes later into this interview and I fucking love him! EDIT: finished watching the interview, this guy is EPIC; he's straigthforward, chill, and just luaghed once in the entire interview when he felt to and not to "look good" in front of the camera, he's awesome!

You're in for a treat. You can probably find _The Ricky Gervais Show_ in KZbin. Don't let the name fool you, it's mostly Ricky and another guy digging the comedy goldmine that is Karl. Then _Idiot Abroad_ and _Moaning of Life._ I personally haven't read the books, can't say anything about them.
