What an inspiration to me. I shot a 42 on nine here in Georgia, USA in a high school match. I had two double bogeys, but I stayed calm to finish with 5 pars. Staying calm like Karl is the key to playing good golf!

3:40... “Apology... this drive was only 355 yards” haha

LOL. I also made the point of mentioning that if striped down the middle, it's 299 yards to clear the middle bunkers, and in doing so, Karl is landing on the back of those bunkers and adding a good 20 yards of run. There was also 10-15 yards of wind assist.

Thanks for this...been watching Karl for a while...he and Akshay are nice..hope Karl gets a sponsors exemption soon...both on pga tour before long!
@KarlGolf5 жыл бұрын
Karl gets offered the exemptions, but we're not in this to see Karl get put under pressure like Akshay got. That expectation can adversely affect a young player. Karl's like the Tortoise in the tale of the Hare and the Tortoise. He still has enormous growth to achieve with a few years at Stanford playing NCAA golf.

Good question. Karl can swing well in excess of 120mph and hit half his fairways, but we find that of he dials it back to 117, he'll average 12 of 14 fairways.

Love to see the progress over the years, get rid of those couple bogies and he could be like Akshay pretty soon
@KarlGolf5 жыл бұрын
We're not overly fussed about the bogies. The coach at Stanford will sort that out pretty quickly as they have access to sports shrinks which we can't yet afford. Most fans don't realize that we don't have the funds for a well recognized coach, let alone 3 of them.
@Medrewsa5 жыл бұрын
@@KarlGolf Absolutely, definitely not meaning to bash Karl or you for making a few mistakes on the course here and there. Every score has a story, that's for sure. And if Karl has made it this far without a well recognized coach, etc. I already know he'll be a powerhouse with those resources once they're available to him. Been keeping up with y'all for years now, since I was starting high school and now I'm almost in my third year of college. Love to see the dedication both of you have put into this. Keep it up!

What a numpty policy that was. Last year's entry fee was $120 and it went up to $200 this year, so as a bare minimum, the players were expecting that the range balls would be included. it's not about the money grab, but the fact that comparable tournaments include the range balls. No problems for Karl however, as we simply asked the Grange Golf Course located next door if Karl could practice there and they were incredibly generous. That said, the course was in superb condition.
