I saw a lore theory saying that Jack Manifold have a bigger part than what appears on the surface. Is it possible that C! Jack is the overseer of the over world due to his weird connection with death and how Red and Blue are both the colors of his glasses.

Little late to this, but I've been thinking a lot about this and I think it might be possible that Karl is actually Ranboo from the past. After going from the other side and the in-between so often they take there toll and his memory fades completely, and the two sides of Ranboo represent the other side and in-between. I think there might be something there, or perhaps Ranboo is just another time traveler as well, with the two sides of him still representing those places. Showing if Karl keeps going down this path that is what he'll end up becoming.

Something worth noting, at the end as Karl writes the names of his friends in his journal, he doesn't write Quackity. And, Karl confirmed in a private tweet that this episode of Tales takes place moments before Quackity visited Kinoko in his latest lore stream/movie. That means the episode takes place two days before Techno got out of jail: September 12, 2021.

Based upon what XD said to karl, there are possibilities of at least one other time traveler who lost their memory completely. All these coincidences point to ranboo being a previous time traveler who lost all memories of being a time traveler. I am not sure which side karl should pick, because it seems like the damage of memory loss has already started, especially when it came to his relationship with him and quackity. This doesn't explain his weird eye color he had with quackity though.

mean the time traveler could be dream instead, after all they look exactly alike? so what if dreamxd made dream made him a time traveler but he lost all his memories, but instead of getting rid of dream he decided well not to. The reason I think this is well, I don't think it's ranboo due to dream being able to control him, I also don't think it's George because he's stuff is all dreams. It could be Tommy's friend though since in his stream it did seem like he remembered being in lamanberg even though we never saw him there.

I suspect it could be george, as in the last lore stream which was most likely a dream he finds karl with the inbetween skin and clearly saying he was a time traveler, and there's also dreamxd, who visits george a lot in his sleep. idk why

I probably have to side with the George theory,it makes more sense for XD and I don’t think we can really tie everything else in ranboos lore to time traveling.while yes he forgets things there’s also the end walking,tests,and more

Dream or George can be very valid choices for the time traveler. Regardless, I would like to point out that XD made the point of mentioning the time traveler forgot. My original opinion of it being ranboo ties into his memory problems, and how he writes in books much like karl to not forget what has happened. I would also like to point out that Karl's memory issues have started, which is why he acted differently around Quackity in the last lore stream Quackity had. Until the person meant to be this time traveler reveals themselves, we are all just speculating.

I think the time traveler is Ran from the Pit episode of tales. Phil said Ranboo had a backstory for Ran that they weren’t able to show because Karl forgot. Maybe he has a relationship with Ranboo like it’s his parent. I think that would be a better narrative to not delete Ranboo's existing brand of being half-enderman and half-something else. They dont need to make him a timetraveller on top of everything.

Notably, the list of people does not include Quackity. I'm going to predict that since Karl didn't remember Quackity being a close friend, he didn't write it down, and therefore forgot he and Quackity were friends or even engaged. So this would make the present-day section of this stream before Quackity's lore stream, where Karl's eyes are yellow and he doesn't remember Quackity except for that he caused his death.

Compilation of my thoughts, I think there may be more to the story of the maze, pills (quackity) fell from the sky at the start, interesting. One quick note, he always says it as Mr cycle, as in you know a cycle, a loop, interesting note. Another note, Karl in XD world is half black (right side) half white (left side) Exactly like ranboo... Could ranboo be the previous time traveller? In general the two have a lot of similarities, memory books, friend list...

Fun note that someone pointed out to me, slime probably knows Karl is a time traveller (and may even know who the previous one was) After all he has shown knowledge of a lot of things that happened before he showed up, according to him this is because he's been at the dream SMP for ages, most likely longer than anyone else. So surely he would start noticing the exact same person appearing over the span of 1000s of years, granted he may just believe Karl is a fellow slime but still, food for thought. On top of that, he always states what he knows about someone when he greets them (quackity from las Nevada's, ranboo from the cookie outpost, Tommy from nowhere) and (because of quackity) he has never interacted with Karl. I think this would be a very interesting thing to reveal. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if our slimy friend popped up during one of the tales this season. (Similar to Conner randomly appearing last season)

Thing is, neither the overseers said that the offer that they try to convince Karl with will work, they just said it might. The Other Side might make these memories of the people be able to talk (so that Karl can communicate with them again), while the Inbetween might be able to let Karl stop himself losing memories. Since there's no actual promise that it will work, they can't be held accountable if it fails, even though their promise is the hook to get Karl to visit their area. Plus, the memory loss Karl has been getting due to time travel has been affecting those around him, especially Quackity and Sapnap, who are both in positions to cause another war on the server.

also the fact that dreamxd said karl was THE time traveler, meaning he is the only one, and that there was one before him which forgot he was one, so he got rid of him. I of course think Ranboo was the time traveler because he's black and white like Karl when he goes to the other side and the inbetween, plus Ranboo is known for memory loss and writing things in books, and he doesn't remember a lot about his past, so it makes sense. This would also explain where his third canon life got out, remember, we know Ranboo died from an explosion at las nevadas from wilbur's story, and we know he got killed by Sam too when techno and dream escaped prison. But we still don't know where he lost his third, so this could be it : DreamXD killed him to get rid of him, because he wasn't useful anymore because of the fact that he forgot that he was a time traveller. Any more thoughts or theories ? I'd love to hear them :)
