Advice I've learned on my way... once you hit your 40s it will all come together - ENTP is all about "ENTrepreneurial Perspective." The thing about perspective, it's a culmination of experiences and decisions made over time. Once you get a good 40 years of doing ENTP things, literally all of your ideas become easily executable as you have all of the data necessary to hack yourself. Think about it - the most profound deep learning that takes a lifetime is learning about yourself. There is no personality type that takes as long to develop and mature, but once we do there is no type more successful than us in our 40s and beyond and stays forever young :)

@@Karl__Pierreentp woman from US here. But I don't agree that all entps are problem children. I was precocious, but obedient. I also don't like to play devils advocate. I just openly explore all sides until one emerges as the most logical. I think some things are stereotypes that don't fit. Most, however, do fit me very well, like no routine, bored easily, fascinated with new ideas, great problem silver, a million interests and hobbies and unfinished projects, and more. College education in English, software, and business. Musical background as a singer and on the piano and flute. Played with music writing and recording for a bit, started and dumped half a dozen blogs, gardened and homestead for a few years, started learning photography, etc. And yup, three to six months is my time of deep diving... People find my passion for my new interest to be unusual. Highly successful as a tech lead where being a jack of all trades in software is highly valuable and I solve new problems all the time. I thrive in places where my ability to navigate chaos is valued. 9:44

What I find especially challenging when looking for work and selling myself, is convincing people that my broad base of knowledge, passion, and problem solving skills are going to be valuable. Most employers want to hear you are some kind of specialist that will fill a narrowly defined task in their organization. But of course, that's not at all what makes me valuable, its that I can fill nearly any existing gaps in their organization and make all the other pieces work together better. And likewise, going it alone as an entrepreneur is tough because I lack the ambition and long term drive for any one project. I need to be on a team to do my very best and I thrive on having others to interact with and be inspired by.

And I always just thought that I was a flake. I currently have a successful business that I’d have no problem walking away from if I felt so inspired to start something new. But I decided to innovate within the business instead. So we’ll see how long that will hold my attention.

Everything in my life always was this without titling it... connecting people.. connecting threads. Being misunderstood and being miscateorgorized.. my organization sometimes sucks.. but I bring people together.. it's too easy... and usually it's right... when I second guess myself I'm wrong.... Okay, ENTP here. I like what you're doing and thank you. What I want to know is; how do you generate enough interests and or money in the 3 to 6 months? Do you have a system or process to create the support team. Do you utilize MBTI in the selection process/system/style of teams or even investors? Do you have a personal assistant and/or a manager type to keep you organized and on point? I am newly understanding this and the possibilities juices flowing. I think this is how i get out of my fear and shadow causing issues.
@Karl__Pierre3 жыл бұрын
3 to 6 months requires project based work, loans, or rapidly scaling businesses or outsourcing to cost effective staff. I use MBTI and other screening tools. I have many assistants and supportive staff, I would get only my projects done if I worked alone. Focus first on projects that pay bulks of cash and can be completed in your attention frame. For me it was flipping houses. Do a few and you replace your income. Keep your expenses low hire help. Let's say you did two flips and earned 120k try to live in 30k. Use the other 90 for staff and more investments. Maybe you can now do twice as many deals.

ENTP here. All on point. I've felt that I am good at starting projects and ideas and that I wished there was a way to get a ball rolling and give it to someone else to manage because doing the same thing forever would be torture, and here you are, saying that it is possible to do. I'm glad I came across this video.

Thank you for this. I've started and completed many projects, and well. But I'd do so many at once that I would reach burnout that would stop me dead. I've repeated this cycle a number of times, worsened by choosing the wrong people to work with. One of my recent "rabbit holes" is this personality typing, which has been insightful. Delegation, and to the right people, is not just a nice idea when there are funds for it. I think it's what I need to succeed in a sustainable way without killing myself trying to do too much - especially the tasks I hate which are like kryptonite to my normally high energy.

I need to take a dna test too, and I think cross breeding possibly could have & human's jealousy killed most of them off. My precise philosophy about Experts. Learn enough about essential life skillsets, so you can talk the talk & identify who th knows what well enough to let them do it for you. Does anyone else find that too difficult to do though? ENTP Street Smarts + Book Smarts 📖 + Negotiation Skills + Leveraging the Leverage Mindset + Salesmanship + Unconventional Strategies + Grey Area Manuevers + Vested Interest in getting Results, etc. etc. I find this particular combination to be the most frustrating things of all to find in a single Expert, or simply by their inability to convey their own Expert strategies which are even more polished. Case in point, I read my Bestie's Forensic CPA contract during her divorce, but good goooosh, how enraged it made me. It literally said, Forensic CPA Group, SANS their verification of Standard Accounting Practices, Tax Reporting, Asset Valuation, Depreciation, Unreported Accounts, Cash Flow Analysis, etc. etc. Between Biz & Martial Assests. Hoooly Mother of Mercy! Soooo, how many grand just to tell her that 1+2=3, then? And her Attorney was responsible for it ALL. Settled at Mediation after 40 yrs of Martial Control, too. Attorney's are a "Special" kinda of "Expert" too. My blood just boils when my Experts don't get Results, because I begin to see too clearly where they dropped the balls, or just tossed it away.
@Karl__Pierre Жыл бұрын
Haha certainly agree. But at the same time there are only 24 hours in the day and in order to thrive we need vetted experts to delegate to. One thing we might do is assume the "expert" is in fact an expert since they dedicated their life to one topic. We think if I dedicated my life to a topic I would be a wizard in that one area. So we assume the expert talent will perform to the same level as us if we claimed to be an expert. This is where we get let down. So the best thing you can do is take our time to scrutinize talent we delegate to and if they are really worth their salt hold on to them dearly.
@efborkov Жыл бұрын
@@Karl__Pierre Yes, vetting is key. I'm glad for you that you are able to position those you need, effectively. But I must admit, I just hired a Professional, totally believed in her Professionalism on paper & reputation, but I left her today and now I'm highly concerned of her dedication to the task. I actually lost patience with her in her office today, because what we discussed before retainer seems to have been completely forgotten. Then I just recieved an email a second ago from an Attorney being granted what I needed, so perhaps she actually followed through afterall. Let's just say that I certainly don't trust this Attorney, but I'm now waiting for his response to figure out what's what. I suppose my browbeating her today, angrily I might add, may have just been understood as to the gravity of my reasoning. But logic and reason tend to fail Me on such occasions, and I am def more suspicious of her now. One thing I HATE hearing is that I'm too smart for my own good, when I'm but a mere layperson in the interaction. Is that really an argument when dealing with Professionals!? I was in DoD/NATO Intell Community in a Policy, Governance, and Compliance position, as a Hated Consultant, in like a pseudoTechie-Attorney role. So I've realllly been grappling with how/why/how th Professionals conduct themselves. For 1, all this "Billable Hours" nonsense is Unsat in getting results, because their interest wanes, PLUS.... why not delay the Results for a few Extra Thousand bucks, but the worst of it is when they can command how ever much they want, and STILL prioritize! Lawd, Have Mercy! 😆 I'm just not built that way! Quality over Quantity = Integrity REALLLLLY considering going to Ivy League Law School rn. Just so I can come out SWINGING! 🤣 Actually, check this ENTP chicanery out tho!! After the COVID/VAX BS, Gates, Zuckerberg, & Social Media AI, et al, with their "Secret Sauce" BS, I had been thinking that I would LOOOOOVE My Legacy to be that I was able to legally undermine these greedy Clowns who profit off "Proprietary Patents" at the expense of Public, nay Global, Healthcare Policies. Patents My @$$! Vax Ppl's of the WORLD while you're fricking Human Experimenting on them in Africa & everywhere else! 🌍 I'm sure I'll be murdered if I were to ever come close to succeeding, so I would need scandalous Evidence secured on these Dirty Dogs. OMG, I'm so being silly rn, but inna gravely serious way. 🤣 Stay awesome, Awesome ENTP! 👌

Can I add a mature philosophical note to your ENTP characterization? When I was your age, I was a much more dynamic actor. That dynamism require responsible SJ performance to accomplish goals efficiently and cost effectively. I had to be disciplined to win! Endless creative energy and willpower. No incomplete only choices. All of this applies to ESTPs, especially sexual ones. By thirty, having afforded my true nature, I cashed in and turned to my philosophical/metaphysical quest for MOTIVE. Without understanding the motives of our desires we are slaves to them. My Ti vetted my Si values and Ne perceptions while honoring my Fe social contracts. Like Socrates, I hectored every Sophist. Like Jesus, I am intrepid In calling out hypocrisy. Dominant Ne knows that the building will fall if the foundation is weak. Think over the horizon!🫣
