You can absolutely tell Karla is an introvert and very shy and Migs is very outgoing, they are polar opposites in that way. So it’s automatically going to come across as him speaking for her which he does because honestly I think the way she wants it. They are very codependent and definitely need help but I do think, he takes care of her and watches her out there to the best of his ability. They definitely set heavy on my heart, and I just want the best for them!

Unfortunately no one can force her to leave him and Art has offered to help her if she wanted to get away, her friends have offered to help her if she wanted to get away. If he is controlling or abusive, that is just something she is going to have to free herself of because she is an adult. Miggy has also said that she's gone with her friends when he doesn't want her to and she goes anyway and she had been correcting him in that video so if that weren't true she would've spoken up. They both have problems and both need help but they're both also adults and addicts and must choose getting that help on their own.

Great explanation of compassion vs. enabling, Art! People need certain, basic things to survive. Everyone deserves to live long enough to recover from addiction. Art is trying to keep people alive, not make it easy for them to use drugs. If they stopped using drugs today, they would still need food, clothing, toiletries, warmth, and safety until they get their resources together. If they don’t stop today, they need the same things. When you said “people need basic necessities” and some people don’t have empathy” It’s so true! Helping them with hygiene, food etc. isn’t enabling them imo
