I'm from north east England UK and I used to go to cinema on own in my 20s that was the 90s. I'm 53 now, prefer my own space, in fact it's crucial. I have ASD traits and add. And doing stuff for my self, daily rituals keeps me balanced. Being round people too much is draining. Im very introverted. I can be friendly but not overly. I live on own because I can't live with anyone else. Surrounded in my stuff only is important to me.
