@Karliene5 жыл бұрын
Thank you and yes, I love that movie. The first one is my favourite though (Elizabeth 1998 ) as I love the chemistry between Cate Blanchett and Jospeh Feinnes who plays ‘Robert Dudley’ - he was definitely my inspiration when writing ‘Robin Sweet’. Another great mini series on her life is ‘The Virgin Queen’ with Anne Marie Duff as Elizabeth and a young Tom Hardy as Robert Dudley. It has the most beautiful soundtrack ever. Well worth checking out if you haven’t seen it already. :-)

All are my favorite it's hard to pick one.

I think Katherine of Aragon was so complex, she could have her own album. She was raised on a battlefield, grew up in the Spanish inquisition, was abandoned, then married and abandoned again. While she was Henry's regent, she defeated the invading Scots and wanted to send the severed head as a gift to her husband!

"I was only three, the day he took you away from me.. I remember that day.. In May" Oh how she must have suffered. We focus so much on the whole Catherine/Henry/Anne saga that we forget the real victims were Elizabeth and Mary. If Henry had just got out of his own head for one moment, he'd have realised his Wives loved their daughters and wanted to be their Mothers. While Henry loved his daughters, he loved his Sons: Henry FitzRoy and Edward more. Just imagine the well adjusted young women Elizabeth and Mary would have been if they'd had their Mothers in their lives, if Henry had just kept his temper in check and acted in his children's best wishes

Then there's me, patiently waiting for a Mary Stuart Response to "To Kill a Queen" I absolutely adore this album, personally I have this playing while I draw. It's very helpful and soothing, Robin Sweet in particular. But I am a Mary Stuart girl, she's been my personal favorite historical woman since I was small. For some reason, I always had an attachment to her.. So much so that I used to have vivid dreams of her. Always laughing, always running around like the joyous, full of life woman she was. What saddens me is that Mary and Liz were so close in the beginning. I'd love to see what you'd do with the Queen of Scots and her relationship with Liz. You'd probably tear my heart out with something Mary would sing about Francis knowing you. Much love - ❤❤
