Of course, I played the **** out fo God of War 4, but all the way through we don't have a solid idea of the kind of person Faye was or how they met. In the next game, I hope we get flashbacks of their early years, heck because the Levithan Axe originally belonged to her maybe we could even play as her.

The game is so emotional, and the story is so sad and beautiful at the same time, who could aspect that a ruthless killer that was working for an evil god will turn into a caring father who lost his wife. This song very beautifully explains that what Kratos has to do for his son to love him, Faye was a fierce warrior and a good woman who was wise and cared about her son and husband.

My favorite part is “you fear for his fate, and the darkness within. But the monster you were, now only fights for him.” It just sounds so foreboding like Kratos knows that Atreus will one day fall to his own nature and there is nothing, despite everything Kratos has done, that can save Atreus from one day becoming the God of Mischief and Chaos
@johndavidtibbetts73205 жыл бұрын
On the other hand, he is called such by the norse gods, who are clearly not on the up and up, so maybe their great destroyer will be more of a hero than the legends say? Personally, I'm just waiting for Sigyn to show up so we can have Kratos try to explain courtship to his son. That will be a disaster in so many ways and I cannot wait
@flamesdout29985 жыл бұрын
John David Tibbetts I would love to see that! I personally am a fan of Loki, both mythology and Marvel, so I personally see him more as a misunderstood anti-hero that suffered from the hands of the Norse Gods and destroyed them for and because of their cruelty. I don’t know, it would be nice to have him depicted as the hero in something related to mythology. I’m hoping that the second God of War dealing with Norse will end with Loki taking down Asgard!
@stephaniecurry454 жыл бұрын
I don't think atreus will be the "loki" he's supposed to be since kratos is technically not the one who faye mates and has loki with in the original timeline. while kratos shares similarities to the original father of loki, i think kratos' influence will make atreus to not be the expected "loki" and basically become a different person though he might have similar abilities. and even if he does become "loki" its like the mythos in this game is reversed so all typical "good guys" like odin and thor are bad, so the reverse apply for loki. jormungandrr is also supposedly evil in mytho, but in the game he's friendly
@beholdthegriffin54884 жыл бұрын
I love your interpretation, but I also thought of that as Kratos will only be enraged enough to commit the atrocities of war he once did on a regular basis if and only if Atreus is in trouble. We saw some of that in the game in Svartalfhiem (or was it Alfhiem? I haven't played in so long) when the Dark Elf has captured Atreus.
@flamesdout29984 жыл бұрын
@@beholdthegriffin5488 true! All these different opinions are so cool and different. That’s what I like from this song, there are so many different ideas that can come from just a couple of lyrics.
