Look brother, there are almost zero tourists in Pakistan so they really treat them extremely nicely and even I love that thing about them but there are millions of foreign tourists in India every year so the bad people too start running their dirty minds and do scams. Since tourism has grown in India the amount of scammers has grown as well. Especially in the main tourist sites. However the rest of India is relatively oke. Plus even in pakistan I still encountered some scammers. Even though tourism isn’t that big there.

I have been to both India (Delhi) in 2015 and Pakistan (Islamabad) in 2017 I love both countries 🇵🇰🇮🇳❤️ the people off both countries are amazing and extremely generous. I must admit that (not to cause offense to the other country) I found the people in Pakistan much more hospitable and the country much more cleaner. Obviously when one's going out he/she shouldn't be expecting free stuff "absolutely don't mean Karl here" but this isn't for show, people really do this in Pakistan even sometimes for locals too. Like Pakhtuns have a code called "Pakhtunwali" thats basically their code on how to live and in that code even if an enemy comes to you as a guest you have to do everything in your power to entertain him and then you can say please don't come "if he's an enemy" but you have to treat him right same goes for different parts like Sindhis are extremely hospitable, Baltis are very hospitable etc. So yeah a factor is that there aren't many foreign tourists but in cities people will conduct their businesses like they should but if you will experience this all over there is no one place that does this. I miss Pakistan so much.

Not trying to discredit their generosity and I am sure these kind and friendly people but, if you think about it logically, people here can't afford to not charge every tourist. Some of them rely only on tourism. It's a numbers game. Foregoing one white man's money is chance that probably comes once in a blue moon in Pakistan. Overcharging tourists is a common phenomenon in a lot of places where tourism is comparatively more.

It happens in India also. But now there are way too many tourists, so not possible much. When I go to small cities with no tourists, it happens. Then there's all the Indians who look after their foreign friends when they come to India too. So it happens as much as it can given the huge number of tourists. Last time a man in Old Delhi would not take money for Biryani from me... I posted that clip on Instagram. But I think foreigners should pay to be honest, the Chaiwala deserves to be paid always.

Islamabad in particular is very modern. It's a brand new city designed and built in the 50's or 60's. Pakistan has its less glamorous parts too, although I think there is a lot of charm and history in the older town and cities. They just need preservation and restoration like many beautiful tourist cities around the world.

It is not India's mistake if foreingers don't choose right place to visit, before visiting people should do research about it...I conclude that India is dirtier than Pakistan but at the same time it is really funny to see that you are calling India as backward...you never visited new cities in India that doesn't mean it is not developed...India is now focusing more on cleaner roads and cleaness...don't compare two different countries...Pakistan is good in it's own ways and India is good in it's own ways no need to compare...India is one of the place of tourist attraction and that's why we are making new places and buildings
