8:35 thank you! very useful to follow tutorials, 99% of them right now are not done in solaris, and now having to move everything to the stage helps a lot

Will be very useful to have an option to render a region in Karma viewport.

1:00~Karmaノードを作り直して機能解説。 1:30~Mantraと異なり、Karmaではレンダリング解像度設定はカメラで決定されなくなった。 2:10~Pixel Samples、Min Ray Samples、Max Ray Samples。 3:00~Karmaの初期設定はバケットレンダラーではなくプログレッシブ 3:50~Karma Advancedタブ-->Driver-->Image Mode:Bucket。ブロックを一つずつ完了して次に進むようになる。 4:00~Karma Advancedタブ-->Tiles and Cachingタブ-->Bucket Sizeは保留。 4:15~MPlayの不具合は全画面表示を一旦やめて、再度、全画面表示にすると戻る。 >>4:50~ノイズの対処法。Karma Advancedタブ-->Sampling-->Noise Levelの値を下げる。 >>6:30~Pixel Samples、Min Ray Samples、Max Ray Samples、Noise Levelの適正なバランスが必要。 >>6:40~ラベルをCtrl+中ボタンでクリックすると、初期値に戻せる。 >>7:30~特にノイズがヒドイ部分をキレイにするには、Pixel Samplesを下げ、Max Ray Samplesを上げる。そうするとノイズ領域のサンプリング数が増え、非ノイズ領域のサンプリングが減る。 >>7:50~もう一つの対処法、Image Output-->Filterの下に行くと、ROPレベルでDenoiserにアクセスできるようになっている。nVidia Optix Denoiser、Intel Denoiser。微細なディテールが無くなり易いが、レンダリング解像度を上げ、サンプルを下げる対処法が有効。 8:25~Karma Viewportオプションについて。 >>9:00~KarmaはあらゆるものをグレーアウトしたLOPに入れてしまうため、大規模シーンでは問題が起こりうる。そのような場合、必要な素材だけのレンダリングをしたい場合には、Objectsタブ-->Candidate Objectsの下で、必要なオブジェクトのみを選び、Pattern登録する方が良い。 11:00~XPU Engineについて。現状はディスプレイスメントやサブサーフェスのサポートが不十分。 >>12:50~現状のXPUはVEXシェーディングには未対応。厳密にはPrincipled Shader等にも対応しておらず、USD Previewマテリアルに変換され、それがKarmaレンダラーで使用される。MaterialXを使えばディスプレイスメントを使える。

I would like more extra image planes like thickness, displacement, cavity etc etc. There were many more extra images planes that I took advantage of for quick output. Also use with game tools would be very nice. As it stands from a game developers perspective I am not finding much use for Karma even though I would like to take advantage of it.

update as of 21.07, buckets has its own tab now and is no longer under driver

Houdini Indie annual subscription costs less than Arnold or Redshift and they manage a whole 3D app. Shocked?

@@18bovende What does this have to do with anything ? You can criticize a product to make it better. Sidefx also has some crap areas and UI choices like all software do (looking at you, no way to flipbook to a custom player button). We pay multiple 6k+ licences a year were I work, they are making good money.
