Vic's perspective is the most nuanced, founded in authoritative sources, and logical in the community. It's so refreshing not to hear the kind of oversimplified arguments others keep regurgitating.

That last discission about free will, momentum … was so interesting. I think that is actually what many of us want to understand.

Human beings are so curious by nature, and while all the circumstances of our history can be instructive, we can only change something in the present moment if we think it is moral and right according to the perception we have of the situation. And intuition, it's something I've always thought of as a mystical part of man. As if it were a cluster of experiences and information gathered for that individual soul to do his best. Thank you for this interesting presentation!🙏

I love your perspective about Karma and Dharma. 💛💫🧡Thank you both for this wonderful video. Karma from Rumi’s point of view can be found in this poem: To-day it lies on me and to-morrow it lies on him: when does the blood of one such as I am go to waste like this? Although the wall casts a long shadow, (yet at last) the shadow turns back again towards it. "This world is the mountain, and our action the shout: the echo of the shouts comes (back) to us"

I see many people mentioning childhood traumas. We must remember that we bring these energies over from one life to the other, the energies (karma) we accumulate cannot disappear. A child is a soul who is born, grows up, dies and goes on to be born again. He/she is not a little being. The body may be little but the soul may have been here 100x times. The energetical buildup of that certain soul is their karmic path. If we are prone to self esteem issues we will choose parents who are narcissists or bullies, who bring these issues to the surface in us to make us face the lesson and trigger us to heal these issues later in life. Whether one chooses to heal or retreats into alcohol is a free will choice, but each choice has its own further consequences.

I absolutely adore your videos & own several of Vic’s books & a chart. thank you both! I love the broad view approach to astrology you both take - even though Vic brutally cut my theory down re tropical v sidereal debate 😂 I stand by my reasoning haha

I like the idea of using the concept of astrology, & Karma to simply empower the Self. Endless rabbit holes of who’s to blame, ‘aka the original sin’ is useless. If it’s empowering the Self, I’m on the best path.

We are constantly creating causes that have consequences and karma is constantly being created by action, words ot thought. Is up to me the kind of "seed" or cause that I am creating right now, conscient or inconsciently...

I'm thinking a lot about the so called natal promise, and if Ancient Astrology ever included the possibility of evolution and change of a person. Maybe you can answer this question, Susan? Modern or psychological Astrology came in much later. What I like about ancient Astrology is the clear structure and the techniques that make it easier for an astrologer to step back from their own bias or personal theories about life and the querent. I usually tie in psychological or evolutionary astrology as a new layer to figure out the possibilities to evolve and grow. It's a pity that none of Hermann Meyer's books, a German astrologer, has been published in English. If you search for his name and add Law of Destiny you will find a short text about his point of view. He applied the concept of negative pole, positive pole and adult to the planets and in doing so, he describes different types of how the planet's energy can be expressed.

Ancient astrology was much less personal. Individual choice was subordinate to the needs of the community. It’s only in modern times that we focus so much on fulfilling our desires. 🙏🏻

Thank you that was very informative. Do you think by looking at the birth charts of children and their parents you can see a link to the family karma / Dharma? In principle I guess we reap what we sow but is it that simple? What if I'm the reason that someone gets to live their karma! Before I noticed your video I had listened to a Turkish Astrology on Pisces and Karma and it seams I'm bring taken on a journey.

I often look at inter generational charts and there is a lot of shared issues and meaning between them. Yet each person is here to go on their own karmic journey. Even in an individual’s chart we can see inter generational karma 🙏🏻

The dharma is a "quality or property" of karma? - That is a very helpful way to look at it. also, to Susan's point, Service as a quality or path is now subservient to "being served" .... There is a push toward selfishness in this time, not service to others. Using astrology to discover is cool, not define. You can only define what you already know, you can only discover what you don't yet know (or realize you know, maybe same thing haha). Agency implies responsibility, so we have to own it. That's the only way to monopolize on the birth chart and utilize it. "The age old human problems are perennial" It's nice to have a map that can help us navigate them a little each lifetime.

It confuses me, as the chart shows abuse (sexual, physical) so an astrologer can see that I was abused as a child so that was my fate and my karma? Babies, children have no control over whether or not they get decent parents. My chart also shows amazing potential in my chart and I haven’t done it yet so why are some things a definite like child abuse and then other things that are seen aren’t happening?
@SusanHopkinson Жыл бұрын
The chart shows potential, so in some way these things had to happen for you to become who you are 🙏🏻

Honestly, I have to watch this video again and better take some notes. So what I am saying here isn't necessarily based on the video, Michelle. Providing that past lives exist, a child is not a child from a soul perspective. Some people believe that a natal chart reflects the energy the soul intents to be born into. Just a few thoughts. Happy to watch that talk again at the weekend.

I really love that you are talking about personal responsibility and not being in a victim role. It is absolutely enlightening for people:) I am a conservative person with a lot of these values already and I absolutely agree how the Western mentality is very soft and lacks stoicism and maturity. People love this whole peaches and cream toxic positivity which seems to run rampant in the West. It’s very challenging to be the recipient of bad luck or other people’s negative actions. For example a parent who destroyed and caused childhood trauma to their child. The child had little control over their fate as a child, but as soon as one is an adult, one can take those painful lessons and has free will to choose, to explore and educate oneself and develop. The responsibility is in one’s own ownership. This means setting boundaries, cutting out toxic people who poison your life, come out of abusive relationships and break cycles of abuse.

agency is essential indeed, and it doesnt have to be only action driven towards the external result, it can also be an internal guideline, an inner resolution to stick to an ideal: to embody love, serenity, compassion, choosing to see beauty all the way, for example❤💖✨💮🌺thank you two🙏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🤍
