@@glitching_in_gay Oh you have no idea 😭 literally the second the studio confirmed the show and casting it got an insane amount of backlash. Faye being the more popular and relevant person on the cast got a crazy amount of hate for simply accepting the role. The show barely got any sponsors or support hence why the budget wasn’t huge (also considering it’s a new studio and this is their first show) and their promotional press conferences weren’t big. Thankfully the team at nine star studios didn’t give up, worked with what they got and gave us a good show regardless. After a while when lots of people gave the show a chance and saw it wasn’t what they thought, it started gaining more attention, praise, popularity and support that it grew to what it is now. But that doesn’t stop the hate it gets on regular basis compared to other Thai GL shows. As someone who’s often in those online spaces where they’re discussed the reasons for it are: one, it’s hated based on misconceptions and false narratives about the story specially regarding the age gap (and it comes from ppl that did not even watch the show or ppl that dropped the show one or two episodes in). Two, ppl from other GL fandoms weren’t happy that the show and couple got praised for a better story and acting in comparison to their favs. And three, some ppl that actually watched the show and didn’t like it (which is fair it’s not everyone cup of tea) but it lives rent free in their heads and won’t stop whining about it and picking it apart for every little thing. Sorry for this long ass comment lol.

I don't know how to send a private message to you so I'll just put it here. If you already forgot who I am, a few times I have posted in your previous videos, but I first discovered you because of your reactions to the Fear Street movies. So I am a gay male and I've been watching this show called Bel Air(which is a remake on Fresh Prince on Bel Air), and I really enjoyed the first 2 seasons, and then a month ago was when they start putting out season 3(Peacock would put out 2 episodes a week) and I got this vibe that makes me think it got a sexist tone??? Here is why I say this. So the ending of season 2 one of the plotlines was Hilary and Jazz started dating, but when Jazz found out Hilary use to have a boyfriend he chose to try to make her feel bad about it. After a couple of episodes she got tired of Jazz acting this way so she breaks up with him. In the beginning of season 3 it's shown Hilary has a new boyfriend and everybody tries to make her feel bad about it, and said to her she should have been with Jazz. It doesn't make sense to me because Hilary actually had a good reason to break up with him. And that isn't the only sexist part, later in season 3 Ashley who had her own plotline in season 2 where she finally realized she is a lesbian, and then finally came out to her parents which she was scared to do but she still got a happy ending(and to be clear her character is in middle school but that is why I like what they did because gay kids do exist even though some people don't want to admit that). So in season 3 they have her hanging with a young boy from her school, and her parents start acting all overprotective over her but she has to remind them that she is gay. And towards the end of season 3 it's revealed Ashley is now in love with this boy or somehow "attracted" to him now. So this is why I'm calling season 3 of Bel Air sexist because they try to make it seem like it's okay to hate on a woman when she breaks up with a toxic boyfriend. And when a girl says she is gay it's only temporary. I know I am a gay male but if some show tries to send out a message that when a man is gay then it's only temporary I will be offended. But I noticed the whole thing they did with Ashely is kind of both sexist and homophobic. What are your thoughts on all of this?

@@glitching_in_gay The thing is I actually like the first 2 seasons of the show, so it was weird when I start to noticed a sexist vibe in season 3, which made me wonder did they get different writers for season 3??? My point is I felt bothered by the change of my favorite show but my only 2 friends who are male and straight never watched this show, so I decided to talk to you about this because I feel like maybe you will agree with me on how it's dumb that they all of a sudden make the show like that.
