Before I found this, I had absolutely no clue what ATUS was. I had never read the fanfic, had never heard of it, and didn’t even know what ATUS meant. I had also never heard this song. After watching this I Immediately fell in love with this song, and have probably watched this 50 times because of how much I loved it. I definitely loved the animatic as well, but since I didn’t know the au it was based off of, I didn’t really understand it. Although, once I had finally found the fanfic, I watched this again and loved it even more. Before I had read the fanfic, I had always skipped over the fight between joe and the others, (I have no explanation for why I did this by the way, I just kinda did) and after I read it I had finally watched it. And now I regret not watching that part a lot because of how amazing this is. This really explains the au, even for someone like me who had never even heard of it like I had. And I still loved this even if I didn’t understand it, but actually understanding this made me love it even more.

I just realized how the 'purple-ness' of the whole thing keeps getting Dark, Darker yet Darker the more the video progresses, I like that... I really like that, Great touch! I know, I know, I'm late for this, but I'll be honest with you. Ever since this came up into my recommendations, my stomach has not been able to digest the feelings that I've literally felt queasy at anything Grian. I've spread it to other friends of mine who also can't take the sadness and are actually going to watch the series now before reading it to get the right feel. I have to say you did such an amazing job that even without the book you can understand a lot of things if you just had a general idea of what is HermitCraft. Completely amazing, how you made the characters all stand out that all suppressed the perfect emotions. Brilliant. Perfect. I can not speak enough words to say how great it is, which speaks a lot as a writer myself. Whatever you do next or are doing, you will always be doing great!

I have watched this video about a hundred times now and still have on loop. It is AMAZING! All the drawings fit so well with the song and you managed to convey the plot of the story really well. Especially when Grian and Taurtis were running into the sunset and it was so cute! Also when Grian was thinking about all the happy memories he’s had in hermitcraft: flying, mystery solving, and being poultry man- not that Grian has anything to do with him or anything- also the scene where he pushed Mumbo through the portal. I cannot convey how much I love this!

Dang i havent even read the story and this is so sad, i almost kinda felt like i was gonna cry at the end and i almost never cry at stuff! Edit: Just spent the last few hours reading the story and im able to appreciate this animation a lot more now AAAAAAA ITS SO GOOD! And i mean your animation and not the story lol, the story was good but i mean that to the animation XD I rewinded at a few parts to fully appreciate the incredible animation and I didn’t do that the first time watching. Definitely putting this in my “Favorite Videos” playlist 👌 ;3 The song by itself is epic and very catchy too XD

Two years ago this video popped up after watching a Star Wars animation. I watched it. I then got really into Hermitcraft and this amazing fanfic. I got Inspired. Now I'm writing the second act of my own Hermitcraft story, which, so far, is 40 chapters long. So, I don't know if I should thank you or curse you... But really, thank you for creating this gorgeously animated video and bringing my attention to such an incredible story and such a wonderful fandom!!😄

It’s been two years since this video was released? _Already?_ I remember watching this for the first time and crying, despite not knowing any context besides Grian is sad. I found your animation after going through a rabbit hole of animations. I am so glad I did. I watched it first and didn't understand, but I read through the comments and realized it was from a fanfiction, atus. As much of a Hermitcraft fan I am, I never heard of this... this may be me being crazy, but i loved the way you used the datk and lightness to convey how grian was feeling. in the beginning at his boat the scene is more purple, but when he goes golfing the scene is almost white, and again when doc and x find his mask it gets a bit more purple and dark. at the end when crown and braid take him to his room, its the darkest of the whole story. just a lil observation, great job!!!
