I prefer CQB, breach and clearing, search and destroy things like that but I also really like that you have use your head in this game its fun

@@paparoach007 yeah man my adhd will make me extremely good in games i decided to play a game called mordhau and i was able to beat level 100s at level 40 or so and would be top of the leaderboard every game same with shooter games i always go top of the leaderboard just because of my adhd and star wars battle front i do better with only like a couple hours in the game than my friend who has hundreds lol its just like i dial in and get in a zone where i just do everything almost off gut feeling and do well its very odd

For your go codes: You have to set the code on the soldier, not the way point. If you draw the first way point, then set the code on that way point, they will go to that way point THEN wait for the go code as opposed to waiting for the go code before they move at all.

I don't know if they fixed it or not but I also remember in Doorkickers 1 the way go codes worked was kind of stupid because once you issued a go code it stayed issued for the rest of the mission. So you couldn't really reuse go codes. Once you issued Alpha for example it stayed issued and if you made another waypoint with Alpha they would just get to it and proceed without you issuing it again. Or at least that's how it worked in the build I played.

This game is exactly what I've been looking for it's something completely different and unique and something my uncle used to do in the SAS years ago, he used to tell me stories of his training and experiences being in the SAS and breaching and clearing buildings. This fascinated me so much I decided to draw on paper and use several computer software/programs back in high school and college of a top-down view of buildings and/or compounds and draw and sketch out my squads going step-by-step breaching and clearing rooms. I even made a short 2 minute animated movie but my house burnt down and everything that was on my computer at the time was destroyed but I'm thinking I might start again I dunno. I bought Door Kickers 2 just before typing this comment I look forward to trying it for myself and also supporting one of my new favourite content creators and streamers. Keep up the good work Karma.

ABCD planning is awesome. A: Assess B: Boom C: Control D: Dynamic A is preparation and cover, B is breach and entry, C is taking control of the room, moving to points of domination and D is basically whatever needs to be done after the room is controlled. A simple room it could be everyone stacks back up at the entry point whilst the squad in the hallway moves up past the doorway.. If there are doors other than the entry point it could be pinning those doors whilst more operators enter the room. If the room has a complex shape and dead space left, solve the problem in the D phase. By separating the operation into this structure of separate problems, You can chain back to A B C D for the next plan and in the execute phase you'll just be going 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4 like an orchestra conductor. You build the plan one ABCD at a time. Then you execute, see how well it works, make changes until it does or change the approach entirely. When you're satisfied, you press restart and add the next ABCD to the starting plan. There is some variation so your plan needs to cover multiple possibilities. But once your plan is good enough you get No Pause, Clean Run and Single Plan challenge all in 1. Best part is, any level you solve this way can become an XP grinding level for your troopers. the plan stays because it's the initial plan. You can swap out troopers, as long as they have the correct gear in the correct slot, the plan will work the same. Their reflexes or aim may not be up to the task as well as the succesful operators. Or their luck may be off. But the plan has already proven itself. I made a one plan solution for the first mission and ran through it a couple runs with each operator and all my guys were lvl 3+. Then I moved on to the next level.

So for what it's worth, and because I did not know until like the end of my campaign play-through, (yes should have gone through all the how do i play this game videos lol) shift+right click (purple lines) you don't have to draw multiple ones it will dynamically lock the soldier to that point throughout the travel, or until you change their spot via another way point. Also you can Ctrl +right click to get a like light blue sight line, and that simply has them look in a direction throughout their movement (like if you walk left to right but use this to aim up, he will walk left to right while just aiming in the up direction). Lastly the end of the arrow on these lines (and the lines themselves) are where your soldier is aiming, so if you put it on a doorway the time to engagement is greatly reduced, vs if you say just put a short line aiming near a door... Hope this helps (really made some of the harder maps easier for me to stop losing guys)

Karma, the thing you were messing up with with the go codes was putting them on their destination instead of on the waypoint before (sorry if you figured this out later, I'm at around the 45 minute mark). EDIT: later into the video, you did start doing it without mentioning you figured out how so gud job

That would be good if you were playing in real time but since you plan the moves not knowing where to send the guys would be painful. Irl you know what is the path of least resistance but if you have top down view and command more than one person its impossible.

In dk1 you're commanding a SWAT team, in dk2 its more like a army ranger team, so you have, assault, support (who use lmg), marksman, and grenadiers.

So I know I'm a year late to this party but I thought I'd add this. I haven't played DK2 so it may work differently but in DK1 officers/troopers would have to sling their weapons to interact with or kick doors then re grip their weapons. This leaves them momentarily vulnerable to incoming fire. So the idea at least in that game was that you wanted to make entry with someone stacked on the door to minimize risk and then clear the door jam either with another trooper or after the first one has recovered. You send troopers straight through doors to clear a lot which might be part of the reason you take so many hits if it still works the same.

Not sure if you have already figured this out, I may be jumping the gun. Anyways, the two Icons at the bottom of the character loadout screens are "Copy Loadout" and "Paste Loadout". Hope that helps in the future.
