Pretty sure Rachel is the only person on the face of the earth who can nail a Greg Lake solo and then turn right around and do the same with Keith Emerson's.

I've been listening to Karn Evil 9 thousands of times since 1973, and have been following Rachel's path for about ten years now, and I am always amazed how I couldn't tell the difference between her and Keith Emerson. Misi is a truly great player, but he has some slight differences in phrasing and else that give away it's not Emo playing the parts. With Rachel, it's mind boggling how she channels Keith's genuine musical persona. And this is also true for the Greg Lake guitar solo !!! Rachel is truly a uniquely gifted artist !

Oh and the guitars are magnificent......and the drummer......omg the singer.. make that three keyboardists......mind blown

Saw ELP at the Miami Jai Alai Fronton just after Brain Salad Surgery came out. It was amazing to watch Keith Emerson surrounded by keyboards, standing on one foot while playing the organ's pedals. Incredible. My favorite musicians. It's such a shame that Keith's hands failed him.

fantastic performance, such a masterpiece of modern classical music as only ELP could do it. it is a testiment to the musicanship of Keith Emerson when you realize that he played all those intricate parts himself, and your singer hit Greg Lakes vocals to perfection. @@justsingit72 I've met the man they're singing about. I know, sounds weird, but I'm certain. His question to all of us one night before a 'guided flight' with him was "How many times have we been here before?" People don't really understand what Deja Vu really is. Many so-called 'brain scientists' have different theories, but this one (as said in a CSNY song) > "We have all been here before, we have all been here before" Deja Vu is a tiny snippet of ancient memory, slipping back in oh so momentarily, from the 'last' time we were here. That's why it feels so familiar, yet so strange. I am so looking forward to the BMB Smackdown. (Bezos, Musk & Branson) My take on an old movie line > "Rockets? Rockets!? We don't need no stinkin' rockets!!" Great rendition from all of you. Thanks so much.

I was first introduced to ELP at about age 11 by a friend, and I listed to Welcome Back My Friends so many times that I had to replace the LP set at least once. I also used to secretly listen to it in my room on headphones, set up multiple serving trays of my mom's and empty buckets like a drumset, and actually air-guitared all of the 1st impression in front of my musicologist parents (CRINGE) who stared at me in abject horror LOL.

Just incredible! I've been listening to ELP since the '70s and watching every recorded performance I could (never got to see them live) but what was always missing was getting to see close-ups of all of the bits and pieces that make up this intricate composition. It could only be played by expert musicians. That's what we get to see in your collaboration with this excellent video montage. It's like a cross between a live performance and a behind-the-scenes studio session. I'm going to be watching this over and over.

I saw this live during their first tour with it. I was not familiar with ELP at all, except for "Lucky Man". The album was just coming out. I sat with my jaw dropped open for the entire performance. It was a life changing experience. Keith Emerson is the best technical rock keyboard player in history. Not even close. And a superb composer. Karn Evil 9 is his masterpiece. He did all this keyboard work alone on stage, with analog synthesizers, and tape machines looping his live riffs. He was a genius. Rachel Flowers is keeping him alive for all of us. Thank you Rachel!

Besides ELP, my friends and I went on to enjoy King Crimson, Triumvirate, Jethro Tull, Yes, Gentle Giant and a lot of other great bands. And to think a music teacher (at a Christian school, no less!) got the ball rolling for us!
