My favourite band, thanks for your great reaction, they're such amazing musicians. This whole album "Sound awake" really is a prog masterpiece, also the production on the album is fantastic. There's not a single song on that album I don't like, nothing feels like a filler. Amazing balance between being groovy and accessible and having complex longer songs with unique grooves and harmonies but they all make sense and don't seem pretentious or complex just for the sake of being complex. Deadman is the second to last track leading into the album finisher "Change", which for me is one of my overall favourite tracks of all time. A real musical journey that leads up to a goosebump moment, with sophisticated grooves that might not make sense on the first listen, but together with the lyrics I must say it's one of the strongest most touching songs I know. They even did an amazing perfect live version of the song some years ago, with an actual didgeridoo playing. ❤

Karnivool are awesome, saw them for the 1st time in Glasgow in February, they were fairly new to me too. They were supported by the Ocean another new discovery. Hope you both enjoyed the reaction 🤟🥰

Karnivools the best! To answer pops question, it’s just one song. They’re just super proggy and most of their songs are structured asymmetrically. Keeps things interesting imo!

Ian Kenny the KARNIVOOL singer is the singer of birds of Tokyo the bassist also uses a 7 strong bass and have seen them every year since 2016

I really want to recommend you 2 more songs off the same album, as this album literally saved my life in my earlier teens, the lyrics aswell are just so so forever interpretable. Please if you get the chance; I cant pay to donate but throwing it out as a hail mary: react to New day or Change from the same album, both are such impactful musical experiences in my opinion, and one of your are bound to absolutely fall in love with it. Edit after watching further: Yeah they are super proggy, and super talented. They are sadly not too active now, but trust me when I say their music is echoed throughout the years stronger and stronger for fans of theirs. If you want a banger just, almost too perfect to describe track aswell, Themata is the first ever heard by them, and got me so instantly hooked, such a good metal song just all around. Love from Denmark by the way.
