Here's a tune that I wanted to cover for a long time, but I never ended up following through on, until now. I'm a longtime Karnivool fan and this is actually the tune that really got me into them back when it was released. Some great work by Jon Stockman going on here for sure. Hope you guys enjoy it! :)

I can't get enough of your covers. That bass has an absolutely MONSTROUS tone. Wanting a Dingwall more than ever right now.

Nice! The throaty-ness of that dingwall sounds really cool in the context of karnivool.

I really dig that bass tone! Comes pretty close to Jon's Warwick tone (although, that wenge neck helps a lot). Great job! :)

Man, really inspired by your cover. Really clean performance. Few karnivool covers out there. Can you give me an idea as to how you manage that tone. Its heavy, monstrous even. Karnivool for life🤘

For me it's been figuring out songs by ear. It forces you to repeat the more complicated parts many times to make sure you got them right, so they really sink in. As your understanding improves (some theory may help there) you will grasp larger and larger "information blocks" - therefore easier and faster learning.

+eloann ok thanks I'll try learning by ear more

Hey dude, I think Eloann makes a good point here. Improving your ear will help improve your playing. Also, when working on covers, it's important to know your scales, modes and intervals. If you have those things in your head, it will be a lot easier to categorize and pick up riffs and melodies. Beyond that, you just have to put in the time. Keep practicing as much as you can. Short daily sessions are better than having one long session every once in a while. It's all about improving and then maintaining your chops. I hope this helps you out in some way. Keep on playing man :) Regards, Werner

Bro, you’re a ridiculous bass player. But I would suggest you raise your volume or lower the volume of the song. The song itself is drowning out your playing. Makes it hard for your bass to stand out. Still though...you’re totally on point👌🏼
