I’ve felt judged and mocked lots of times by people who are native because there are times when I speak my accent would kick in even if I try my hardest to sound “American”. This would encourage them to be proud of themselves, that’s for sure!

I've heard some of her songs on the radio, seen her briefly here and there on KZbin videos and TV. Didn't really care for her or understood why she was so popular until I saw this interview. Lilia, I want to congratulate you for such a beautiful interview. I can tell you prepared the questions with care and key questions to bring out a more accurate picture of the artist. This was a well thought interview to an English speaking audience which sometimes certain things or emotions cannot translate well into English.
