Other worldly or trance-like comes to mind. Of course, I didn’t see this the first time I watched the video uploaded to her channel. In this community, however, there is such a complementary blend of ideas / deeper thought. As we critique, I think it raises our awareness on many levels. I hope all of this makes sense. Thank you Toivo for another great choice, and to you Jimmy for another terrific reaction. I think you hit the nail right on the head when you said that any singer/songwriter should feel honoured to have their work covered by Karolina. She takes the work of great musicians to another level. Also I'm sure other talented performers such as Ray Chen, Daniele Vitale & Allie Sherlock will have felt privileged to have performed with her. Ray Chen is an absolute top violinist in classical concert world. To do collabs with Karolina ( not just giving masterclasses as to other classical teen prodigies) shows the stature of young Karolina in popular music world and the privilege is mutual as Karolina recognizes Ray's position with respect as a classical virtuoso and Ray recognizes Karolina's position as popular music top artist. Both learned from each other with respect and willingness to experience each other's musical world. The success of collaboration of these two musical phenomena in their respective fields was guaranteed by their mutual respect. Ray is a true open-minded legend unlike many classical artists who look down at popular music as something lower.

@@toivotraks It was in January, 2018, KP was 9, the first time she went to a Ray Chen concert. There used to be a video of her standing ovation, enthusiastically applauding from afar. Little as she was, I'm sure the idea of one day performing with him was already on her mind.

This specific rendition earned Karolina her second journalistic note on The Hindustan Times, a major newspaper in India. Since I will not take the risk of posting a link, I share an excerpt form the note: "Music definitely doesn’t have any language barriers and its proven time and again when one listens to cover songs or music being played by artists who belong to different countries. Like this video of a 13-year-old girl who played the famous Punjabi song Bijlee Bijlee by Harddy Sandhu on a violin on the streets of USA. Karolina Protsenko played the catchy tune of the song on a violin and it sure sounds so good that you will keep playing it on a loop" [...] " The 13-year-old girl is known to play cover versions of many popular songs on her violin and upload videos of her performing them on the streets. She has more than eight lakh followers in Instagram". Two years earlier, the same mainstream newspaper covered the viral phenomenon that Karolina was. Worth saying that Indian and Sri Lankan fans are among Karolina's most enthusiastic ones. Cheers, everyone.

Containing mainly earlier pre-recorded videos. 900,000 subscriptions 99 million views 45 videos Channel created Dec 2016 Karolina Protsenko Violin (current main channel of edited, but live performance videos) 8,18M subscribers 1,84 billion views 489 videos Channel created Sept. 2018 Karolina Protsenko Voice (current vocal channel) 305,000 subscriptions 57,6M views 63 videos Channel created Nov 2020 Karolina Protsenko Vlog (current miscellaneous topics + classical music examples channel) 425,000 subscriptions 74+M views 220 videos Channel created Mar 2019 Facebook - 11M followers Instagram - 1,1M followers Not bad at all for a schoolgirl musician who is operating privately only under the management by parents? Not to mention the other 6 family channels, built around her popularity. Most of them abandoned, though: TPF, TPFClips, Leo and K, Ella Protsenko, Leo Protsenko and KP Piano. The only active channels are TPF, Leo P and very occasionally TPClips. Cheers, Toivo.

My first instrument is piano and I was so happy at the beginning. There are too many different channels in this family if you ask me.

@@toivotraks Yes, and again not to mention the countless fake ones. I agree with the piano channel, if they were to upload only 3 videos why bothering in the first place. I must say sometimes I don't understand their reasoning. On the bright side, KP Violin is boosting, 1.83M yesterday and today will be similar.
