Always avoid speed petrol at any cost. The royal enfield bikes are designed for normal petrol only.

Love the channel. I have three Royal Enfield bike. My dads that he bought in 1957 and two classic 500s. One Indian and one export version. I have to be honest. The export and Indian version are totally different. The Indian version is for sure louder. I got them both around the same time and they both have more or less the same distance. What was shocking to me most of all was the first oil change in them. The Euro 4 version had clean oil. No metal shavings in the magnet to drain the engine. The Indian version however took nearly three oil changes to have it come out clean. Next is build quality. The export one uses much higher quality materials than the Indian one. Better suspension, better build quality, better swing arm, better brakes and so on. I’m just wondering if the export versions are available for sale in India? And if so what is the price difference.

I don't think the export version is available (don't take my words, just check with your local dealer). RE has to maintain quality checks when exporting hence you get to see such good quality. Coz unlike India, other countries have strict motorcycle rules and regulations and if you don't meet them you can't just ride away. I'll be happy to know if they do provide the export version in India too

The "local" version I have, which I bought in India for 2 times less. I shipped back home in parts and rebuilt it. I was only able to register it as a "kit bike". This is where right away I can tell the steel used is of a different grade to the export version. The paint is also a different grade.

Guys try rd350 handle bar - it reduces vibration but does not end it all together. I am using AOM make RD 350 handle bar for my DS Classic 500.

Hey as you said that we should wait until the ignition light gets turn off and then start the bike... I tried the same however the ignition light was still on I waited more than minute... but it doesn’t work... the moment I start the bike it get turned off... just wanted to know is there any problem with my bike ? I have Desert Storm BS4

Yeah im also having the same experience. The light doesn't go off. It only goes off only after turning on the engine.

In bs4 the ignition light turns off after you start the bike so its not an issue
