I just started watching your guys' vids after KRA #1. I race at NewCastle too and came across your vlogs in the process of racing withdrawal and watching karting vids. It's really cool to see vlogs from my home track! Next event I've gotta meet you guys! Btw, if you watched the Yamaha races, I was the one leading for 3 laps in the Yamaha Senior race but my muffler came undone, R.I.P. Can't wait to go to the track and see y'all!

Everyone at NCMP seem to run a really narrow rear track, why is that. Most racers at our local tracks run wide- 54-55". Thanks for posting these!
@StahlRacing4 жыл бұрын
Where do you run? The widest I've personally run (two weeks in the new kart) is 51 inches. On my eagle I was usually 49ish inches. Could be the tires. We run 7.1 in the rear and some other places run 6s

@@chickentuber interesting. We run the new mg reds 7.1 as I said. New castle is also pretty grippy. Do you run super wide in the front too?

@@StahlRacing Colder temps here so probably lower relative grip. We run pretty wide fronts too. I always thought narrow rear made sense but when I try it it's always slower for whatever reason. I'm fairly new at it so I'm not sure whats going on. Thanks for responding, BTW.

Hello, I used to race TAG Rotax Masters 10 years ago with a 30mm TonyKart. I am 6'4" tall and 190lbs. Can you recommend a Birel Art chassis for me for a Masters Lo206 class here at Cal Speed in Fontana. I don't know if I'm too heavy for a 28mm chassis? I'd like it to last a few seasons too for a good investment. Does Birel Art make a front porch extension for their chassis? I'd like to be comfortable and lay back alittle for aerodynamics. Great kart footage. Makes me want one... Thank you for the help...Coe Show
@StahlRacing2 жыл бұрын
Hi Coe, Thanks for reaching out, and welcome back to the sport! I'm 6'3" and 190lbs, and the Birel Art AM29 chassis works great for my lanky self. I don't think you are too heavy or too tall for a 28mm! Even though the frame is 28mm, it is very durable. It won't get 'flexed out' like TAG chassis tend to do because the LO206 doesn't have all that power the TAG's have. It should easily last more than a few seasons. Birel Art does make a front porch extension, which I highly recommend. Here is the link: www.pslkarting.com/shop/chassis-parts/accessories/pedal-box-and-extension/floor-pan-extension-2821/details. If you decide to get one, please let us know and feel free to ask any questions! You can email us at: stahlracingvlog@gmail.com - Kacy Stahl

@@dustinversteeg680 Good questions. We went over why we are in our BirelART chassis in our Unboxing New Karts video (VLOG 37). BirelART liked the idea of partnering with us, and we knew the reputation of the karts so it was a no-brainer. We also covered (briefly) the tools you will want with you in our Getting Started in LO206 Karting video. We have tossed around the idea of a set-up video. The only hurdles are we are still learning about these karts every time we are at the track as well as the fact that it is going to be a different setup for each track. However, a basic setup guide is a good idea that we are actively considering, specifically for newer karters who could use the help (been there). Thanks for the input!
