I have the Karve with the B plate and use an Astra SP green blade and I find that to be a wonderful combo. Good review and good shave video, mate!

Great review. I’ve been looking at the brass OC for a while, but I’m leery of the unknown inventory/order wait times. I understand the website isn’t accurate for what’s actually in stock. .

I suspect I could be quite content with the brass CB, but I'm on the waiting list for the stainless, and selected the 3.5" handle with a SB "C" plate. Cannot wait to compare this to my 3ONE6.

My fave Karve plates are C and E, and if I use a Feather or BiC, I use an open comb B.

That looked like a great shave. I made the mistake of buying the Karve very soon after having bought a Supply razor. The mistake was that as the Karve gives such an easy, close, irritation free shave I don't think I've used the Supply razor since. Having said that I do like the look of the Supply more and must give it another go. Have a great week.

Nice shave brother! I had been looking at these Karve razors. I’m just uncertain of the brass. I think the patina would drive me bonkers. They’re out of the aluminum currently, but I don’t know if I’d like the weight. I don’t want to spend the money on the Stainless. So there... can’t decide.....

Oh damn! That's a real bugger!! No perfect razor for you! Brass will stay mostly clean as long as you thoroughly dry it every shave. And you can polish it out but yeah it's not for everyone!

Spencer Frankel as I mentioned with all respect to Karve and love to support Canadian economy and Alberta at the moment.. Presentation or razor box Cheap Don’t provide other plates like ex. Rockwell does Price little overpriced compare what Homelike Offer Russian Razor to be Honest I really don’t know which one I tend towards Homelike as it’s smoother as Kevy Shaves review it.. Hope I’m correct on this and Karve do something for price wise and list as I mentioned

This may sound stupid to some people but I cut the ends off of the blades meaning the tabs when I use my Karve razor so that I avoid any nicks and cuts from the tabs of the blades when shaving around my nose and ears. A great shaver very good video.

Yeah, like the current best razor on earth. As y like more 'bity' razors, mau I recommend the F=plate 1,23mm gap in OC. It gives y R41 +results with similar comfort as the CC versions. An outstanding tool.

I really now don’t know which to pick Karve or Homelike Razor I feel Karve is little overpriced and packaging I’ll be honest is cheap they give you case only buying stainless this have to change have like Rockwell case look like a book and presentable.. I love to buy Canadian Razor as Rockwell just stuck a price view and presentation and don’t offer other plates that would come included Alan

C plate is around 2-2/12 😁 d plate feels like about 3 1/2 😁

Very nice shave mate! I have been LOVING the Karve OC Plate B. The solid bar is very nice as well, C is my go-to, but have not used it in a good while. I may have to busy ot ut after watching this

Hi Spencer- Great shave and razor review; thank you! I use the Karve C plate for daily shaves, and the D plate for multiple days of growth. A very nice razor, indeed! Worst blade ever for me- ZaZa’s. Unbelievably inefficient. I hope you are doing well and best regards, as always!

Finally, a Karve in your hands! I love my Karve with D plate. I have the D/OC and F plates but I'll likely sell them as I'm very happy with the D plate. I love patina/aged brass. I still adore my Rockwell 6S but the Karve is a close 2nd.

@@srayle32 They said they had so many orders that they could not cope. I guess that's the problem of a very small business. They don't have the infrastructure (nor workforce) to raise production considerably in periods of high demand. I agree with you, they should have informed me early on and not wait until I asked after a month. Eventually the razor arrived and I must say that I am very satisfied. Very well and safely packed. Flawless quality. Very smooth shaves. Although you will have to order additional base plates to find your sweet spot and to have the option of a mild or more efficient shave.

Good luck trying to find something not to like...😉. This is the razor that cured the RAD. Basically all I use now.... C plate or OC B for head or a week's worth of facial shave. 2 pass, smooth, done. Brilliant piece of kit!! Hope you're doing well!! Cheers...

The Karve with plate C is my favourite razor and killed off my Rex! Hmm where did my old Rex go again?? 😝 I’ve been rubbing the alum all over for the past few months too. Gotta rinse it off promptly though!

Very hard to pick. At the moment my favourite 3 band (silvertip) is my shavemac d01 3 band. My fav 2 band (Manchurian or finest) is Simpson Manchurian or my new favourite rhodium knot 25mm Manchurian

Where's my bloody beer? Bastard!!! The Karve D base plate is my favourite setup in both Brass and Stainless Steel version, also, the Game Changer .84 (0.84mm) is very closed and almost the same as the D base plate (0.85mm) side by side during the shave.

That reminds me. The Rockwell 6C & 6S using the R6 baseplate almost feels the same as the Karve D baseplate, the R6 is a bit more efficient shave than the GC84 and the Karve D baseplate.... Remember YMMV.

Throw a Voskhod in before handing that puppy back to Chris mate. Theyre exceptional in the Karve. Ive got the C and D plates. C is generally good as a daily but the D is unreal for 2-3 days growth. So fricken smooth!!!!

Awesome shave brother. I love my Karve I prefer the D and E plates and just do a 2 pass shave wtg and ath. I prefer the brass to the stainless as it stands out from the pack. I am waiting to order some of the open comb plates, love to see you try those if you can get hold of them. Good health and prosperity to you brother. I like the OC "C", hits the sweet spot w a Nacet or other Gillette blades. Ds; I did not like any more....a bit irritating and NOT more efficient for me. Muhle R41 is better than D's
