I second this! I have Items Adder and I don't really think it's all that great as I first though it to be. Been wanting to check out Nexo but there isn't much information or videos available on it.

I use both extensively on the daily, and can very confidently say that Nexo is far superior right now. Nexo also has a WIP converter that can convert your IA pack to Nexo automatically.

cmon the boy glazing is crazy..... i get it he has been ripped off and cheated and certainly deserves your support, but you don't gotta make stuff up to glorify him... oraxen under boy was great but it never came close to itemsadder levels- which is clearly visible by ia having more downloads despite being MORE EXPENSIVE. IA still has load more features than nexo, the only advantage i see is nexo managing resource packs better so its kinda more easy to use... but once you properly learn ia the possibilities are endless... it is certainly more powerful

Honestly, I don't know. I don't think so. The Bukkit Devs worked for Bukkit (the company) and indeed claimed part of the code when they discovered the deal. Boy has never owned any part of Oraxen from my knowlage. 'Officially', he was just a maintainer and Th0rgal owned everything. But after 3 years of soley developing a plugin, you're no 'just' a maintainer anymore. Though as legally he never owned any of it, I don't think Boy would have any legal foot to stand on.

Not really. All Bukkit plugins must be licensed under GPLv3, which does not allow you to use this as far as I'm aware. I highly doubt however that Spigot willingly took it down, however SpigotMC Pty is based in Australia, which does not do DMCA claims, so it seems pretty weird.

You pretty much own what you write except when you're in agreement, either by contract or license as far as I know. It really depends on what terms he became a maintainer.

this is in the license file in the oraxen github repo "By proposing a modification you agree to assign all your rights on your code to the Copyright Holder. You must therefore own the modifications you propose or have the permission to assign their rights."

Just use Fabric and Polymer. No old APIs like Spigot that don’t fully integrate with modern Minecraft, plus it’s all free and open source software. Yes most plugins don’t have an equivalent on Fabric, but we need to push developers to a more modern solution. Yes, the Fabric API is not the same as Spigot, but it is much more powerful as you can override anything in the game by using Mixins. No tweaks that fundamentally changes how the game works (like Redstone on Paper servers).

I mean, the launcher doesn't really matter here. You just need to run MC on the lowest possible settings and maybe install some optimization mods to get better performance!
