Grau has written this piece "For an international mobilization to save the earth and a conscientious effort regarding the problems of the environment.
JIP Chamber Choir is a project choir from Utrecht, the Netherlands, founded in 2013 by brothers Jonathan and Imre Ploeg. JIP wants to present new and unknown choir music from all over the world, brought together in surprising, engaging and fundamental themes like war and peace, the nomadic life, the refugee crisis and the ecological crisis.

Such a hard piece, I can tell you from experience. I did this for all city choir, and we did all the stomping and clapping ourselves.

Pièce intéressante par son propos et ici très bien exécutée. "BUT"... le chœur est utilisé de manière presque uniquement instrumentale. Le texte est répété de manière incantatoire et le compositeur ne s'autorise aucun développement, si ce n'est dans les effets. Aurait mérité d'être pensé pour choeur et orchestre ? Le glissando final n'existe pas dans la partition de Grau mais il est une manière de conclure une œuvre qui ne peut avoir de 'conclusion', à part la fin du monde...
