Kasese Floods Update: Displaced villagers encroach on Queen Elizabeth National Park

A new challenge has emerged for over 800 Kasese residents displaced from areas affected by the floods. Today they faced off with the Police as they attempted to resettle into Queen Elizabeth National park, about four kilometers from Kasese town.

This is using too much force. Why must you use tear gas in a National Park? Do they know the impacts this will have on animals, birds and other wild life. Ugandan police need to find other ways of dealing with rioters. We are tired of tear gas!!!
