I don’t think you can buy anywhere in south kashmir, Not sure. Where in south kashmir you are from ? You can buy from Srinagar in poloview bund side. When you take it as a sport to enjoy you will learn yourself.

Is it necessary to use log rod for fly fishing, cant we use usual small rod.

Normal fly fishing rod comes 9ft, we do get some 7-8 Ft fly rods, but then casting the line & fly gets difficult as we have mostly wide streams. You can use small rods in small streams. By my opinion is use minimum 9ft Rod.

It’s not Bag, it’s a landing net how we can land a fish without any harm, most of the fishes we release after landed. It’s a legal technique to land a fish by landing net. And we have permit to keep 6 fishes we can bag them. I noticed your concern. But we break the neck before bagging the fish, sometime fish keeps a little alive. Thank you 😊
