As per my opinion,I can complete the trip with in 20000/Rs. If journey starts from Katra, because there are several agencies who areanges trip to Kashmir , although it is cheap but not bad at all.I visited in 2018 in the month of March cost like this.

A Bhajia seller infront of Nishat bag, Was, साब इधर शांति बहुत है! /कोई चोरी-डकैती का डर नहीं है!/साब! 1-2 परसेंट गंदे लोग हैं तो 98%अच्छा लोग भी तो है!/साब इधर गरीबी बहुत है और टूरिस्ट तो हमारा खुदा है, इधर टूरिस्ट को कोई हाथ लगाकर तो देखें! Yes, during my travel, we were diverted once to main road. I asked , Why? The police personnel replied, " साब उधर कुछ गडबड है, तो टूरिस्ट को नहीं जाने दे रहे!" So, come yourself and see dear!😊😊

The Shiv Temple of Gulmarg, basically called Maharani Temple with "red dome" was the signature landmark, as one entered Gulmarg. But certain forces made dirty buildings around it to overshadow it. So sad, history is distorted.

Awee trath chhai kalheri. The Maharani temple was constructed by wife of some Dogra ruler, with Dogra Raj commencing in Kashmir from 1846. Do you mean nobody knew Gulmarg prior to that and there was no structure there prior to it? Hawhas manz chhukh gole lagawan
