I’ve replaced the heater core on my LX. And I don’t ever want to do it again. At least when I’m dead and buried when my time comes my grandkids will have to do it when it goes out again.👍🏼

Ever break one of the inlet's on the NEW heater core reinstalling? Lol 😆 🤣 🤦♂️ My father walked out and a few minutes later brazed it back on, he was a mechanics mechanic 💯

Thanks KASL, great vid. I saw the 200 on the speedo and thought that I like to get one for my fox. Then I realized its KM/Hr - LOL. Hello from NY state.

Thx buddy!! Haha yup this is the metric version of the fox speedo. The 91-93 got a 220 KPH Speedo. I get asked a lot where folks can buy a 220 MPH speedo 😂👊

Great video! Remember kids when ever using any kind of wax or polish. Do you like Gary did. Pour the polish or wax on your applicator. Never ever pour wax or polish directly to the surface you’re trying to clean. Always on the applicator first and then polish with it. Because if you haven’t shaken up the product enough you can sometimes pour the cleaning solution with a solvent concentration on your paint or what your polishing and it will leave a permit mark😢

Hi Gary. This summer I will have had my fox for 32 years and, at the risk of earning the scorn of the entire foxbody family, I will admit that I have never changed the heater core in my car. Now that I've said that, it will probably turn into a gusher tomorrow, however, it doesn't leak and I really, really don't want to take it out. I've always been pretty anal about keeping clean, fresh coolant in the car so maybe that's why it doesn't leak. Yet. I just doomed myself, didn't I. Anyway, great video on the cluster restoration. Thanks. Bill. 🦊😕⛵

I'm saving my old heater core for a special occasion. Like a monster truck rally 😄🤣😲😐😅. I got blessed about 3 months into owning a Foxbody. Did it in about 5 1/2 hours. Heck I didn't even know if mine was bad but I didn't want to take any chances 😅

I totally disagree 😂 I’m in Miami the heater core is all around us. Now evaporators, that we need. I had my heater core done at the same time as my evaporator and it started leaking a month later. Part had warranty but the labor didn’t so it’s been disconnected for 22 years. If I had to do the evaporator again I would do the heater core again and try to find a high quality replacement.

I usually break that cluster down more by removing that black section for cleaning and using a TORX screwdriver. Good demo for the first timers. Now get that dash back in GARY, LOL> P.S I am half way through the latest pod. Enjoy them all BUDDY!

Hi Gary Question if I wanted to swap a miles per hour gauge cluster with a KPH one is it is a straight plug and play application or do I need to replace other parts or do other things to make it work?
@KASLCustoms Жыл бұрын
It would be a straight swap over. Just make sure you have the right speedo gear in the tail shaft of the trans for the gears and wheel/tire combo you’re running. I have a video on my channel talking about this 👍

You just showed two of the pain in the ass stuff in one video. Your picture is in the dictionary next to Patience. Good stuff as always! F the heater core! I created new curse words doing one. Hate those things.

I did the heater core in the 1988 GT I bought and ended up giving to my dad....when I got locked up for being a dedicated driver (but my friends had drugs on them and I was on probation) and who knew...that having an open container of alcohol was a problem.... I thought...hey...I'm not about to get a ticket for littering and destruction of property by throwing bottles at signs.......well anyhow.... I had my 88GT at a body shop at around the time I was arrested...and the body shop needed money....and I told my dad...if he paid for the bodywork and paint....then he could have the car. Then not too long after my middle brother fell asleep behind the wheel and totaled the car when the car hit the back end of a work truck. 😔....but yeah...that part was a 20 dollar part and the place that would do the job for me wanted 400.... this was over 20 years back... I guess I'm officially old... cuz I can say "when I was a kid...that cost ....." 😅🤣😂
