Torque boxes are the area in the rear of your Mustang where the upper and lower control arms attach to the chassis. Combined with V8 power and increased loads of torque, these areas can easily become fatigued over time and can begin to crack. This can be harmful to your driveline and overall performance in track and drag racing environments. Good instructions, but when you say "Make sure the drill bit is as straight up and down as you can get it" that's a caution, so back it up with why that is important. Great site, I come back here all the time for my 89.

if you weld them in, you'll see why. they will rip out without them if you even lightly beat on these cars.

Yeah, bolting these in will fatigue the metal at the bolt holes and not add a lot of strength.
