That R max mana bonus damage by itself is really negligible, with Frozen Heart adding only 8 damage by itself, or 24 damage at *max* stacks. That's next to nothing for Kassadin's burst. But that adding to how the entire item interacts both with Kassadin's mana hunger and the rest of his usual item build is what makes the item such a good situational pick. Nice to see Heart here, as IMO it's sorely underutilized. BTW, against a full AP team with Kass, it's hilarious to add insult to injury by building Everfrost to Abyssal Mask.

Ya agreed I think especially it’s the synergy with archangel/seraph’s that makes it strong. You get AP scaling but also the shield is tankier vs physical dmg so you survive more. Also, if you survive longer, you get more chances to heal using rod, and you get more mana back for the more dmg you take, so it kinda feeds into itself. So yea def, it’s the combination of factors that makes it so good

As kassadin main, he's onlly good in team game. As soon as opponent top is 8/0 at 10min it's over. Kassa is not strong enough in early to assure the win.

I think Quinn is a good pick into Kassidin. If you can't push a lead in the lane you're still able to outroam and contribute on other parts of the map. Quinn just has too much burst, and solid consistent damage that makes her pretty annoying to deal with. Plus, the blind is actually pretty strong against him. There's also the added benefit of using her W to completely avoid getting ganked if your lane is in a shitty position and you're not sure if it's going to wind up with you dying. All around a solid pick in mid lane that fucks over Akali, Kass, and Sylas pretty well. Sucks into mages like Syndra 100% though.

The main thing is - nobody plays Quinn. Other than that, yeah, she's essentially a side-grade of Akshan - lane bully, hard to deal with, extremely annoying, tons of damage, only that she trades Akshan's in-combat maneuverability for much more map presence.

Crazy how I got counterpicked by a Renekton mid and my team blamed me for not rotating pre-6. He managed to get a double kill top lane regardless of me spam pinging him missing, and then proceeded to become unkillable for the rest of the game. My team spammed afk mid laner and mid gap in the chat.

I'm only in plat but whenever im against a kassadin its a free win for me. I go Akshan mid and he just doesn't get to play, constant push under tower so forces jungle to come while he loses all his hp under tower lol or doesnt get to cs at all. And as akshan I just swing away if the jungles comes

ive played kassadin mid 5 times over the last year. won lane all 5 times (as in up cs, no kills each, sometimes up a few kills) while taking scaling runes. but no wins since cant get through that much frontline or my team is just too weak. discouraging when u win lane on a hyperscaler with little/no help and still lose =(

Like, for example, the title of this video. Why not just make it "Want to climb with no effort? Pick Kassadin. | 13.1b". Says all you need to say. Same effect. Doesn't have to say something that most people should already know (hello? Kassadin is "Mr Level 16 auto win"). You don't need to be obvious about it. It's funny. Creators like you seem to miss the fact that sometimes something can be more off-putting than attractive. It's like when someone tries to use too many "hip" or "slang" terms. no it's not something obvious, kassadin IS broken and that is a very recent thing due to recent item changes and balance patches. It isn't the level 16 broken kassa anymore, kassa is broken the entire game through now lmao
