Bearings are good. Been using these with my Shimanos ever since they came out. Me and a friend have had no issues what so ever and we fish a lot

The handles are rubber made to look like cork, so the issue of the cork not lasting isn't really an issue. And the brakes are magnetic not centrifugal. Might wanna update/edit your video with the proper info. Also, the bearings do hold up to multiple day per week usage, I have over 10 KK reels including their cheapest baitcaster (WhiteMax at $36) and put them to hard usage multiple times per week including personal and tourney usage without a single failure yet.

david hendrickson that’s good to know about the handles . . I have not put one to use through extensive testing just yet , only have gone off what some close friends who have , have said they have seen issues with .

@@bassmoore2083 yeah, cool. Don't forget the magnetic brakes part too though, ya don't wanna mislead someone thinking they are buying it for centrif brakes. Have one of the MJs so far and three more on the way so I've been plenty impressed with them. I am a former Shimano and Lew's reel guy and never would I say they are bad reels...just get tired of their prices going up and up and up all the time. And not trying to compare a $50-90 KK reel to a $500 Shimano but as someone with almost 30 years of experience with Curados and Castaiacs and almost 10 years of experience with Lew's...I'll stick with KK for $50-90 each and use em just as much and just as hard and if they don't last 10 to 20 yrs like some of my old 200 Curados...it's all good cuz I can afford to replace them every 3 or 5 or whatever years cuz they don't cost $200+ each.

All kinds of bad information. The frame is graphite and not aluminum. The brakes are magnetic and not centrifugal. The handle knobs are actually rubber and not natural cork. Just gotta love these KZbin reviews...

Just a fyi, I just got mine and the handle knobs are screwed on, no rivets so you can easily swap them for any type you like. I might pull a knob off my daiwa and see if they are the same if so a ton of options would be available

the line guide does not move in correlation to the spool? that makes it useless as a float reel when fishing on river...it's important for the line to be ing going out along with the line guide on the worm drive...

Hi there, I enjoyed your video, however I do have a comment on the title versus content... I don't mean to gripe too much, but it seems like every time I click on a review for a baitcasting reel, the review is done without any actual testing. Nice reel review. I still prefer Daiwa and have tired different reel manufactures. I always come back to Daiwa for one reason or another. How would you rate the Kastking against the Daiwa Tatula?

Just Fishing TV I’ve had a few tatulas and really liked how wel they held up , but their casting distance is just okay

Plite I’ve never personally used the Abu .. can’t speak to that . But this reel has performed very well for me for the price .

@@paulk7769 You can use it for whatever you like. Just get the gear ratio you would like, you certainly can use the higher gear ratio for any application and it's probably easier to reel more slowly than to try and reel fast on a 5.4 to 1 reel.

How did you adjust the braking system on yours? Mine backlashes every cast. I’ve tried adjusting the knobs to adjusting the magnets and nothing but backlashes. Thanks.

Just the standard way . Internally , every other one up and down . And outside I set to usually a 4-5 and adjust the spool tension to the lure weight so it barley drops when you push the button to cast

BassMoore I understand. But it would just pay off in the end. If you buy something for $40 to $60 now. And have to replace it or parts every other year that would get expensive. But I like their rods. At least the speed demon pro

BassMoore I was all about Lews. But I had two expensive reels that had thumb bar issues. They wouldn't fully disengage. So it would grind the gears when I cast. I loved my ducket rods. So light. But I started using Dobyns Fury rods. They are money for the price. Just bought the Shimano SLX combo. Can't wait to try it.

Nice review. If you fully take these down they are not that different from the "brand" names. I have two Daiwa Tatula 100h reels and they are not significantly better and not even one full season the bearings are already getting noisy, and they don't cast any better than these KastKings. Hate to break it to people but baitcasters just are not that complicated. Spinning reels are another story and that's where you see real difference between cheaper brands.

Stick to tactical bassin and flukemaster etc.. and stay far away from this completely, totally, 100% unqualified guy's opinion. Not a pro. Not knowledgeable. Not experienced. Just some dude trying to get views. Like a kid talking about how great his first wine cooler is and how everybody should drink them.

@@bassmoore2083 You're right dude that was harsh. I wish I hadn't spent any of my money on Kastking reels and rods so I'm pretty against putting newer fishermen onto it without at least some context. I had to learn the hard way that it actually costs more to buy those reels first, but that goes for just about all of the cheap stuff. But it seems like others are having better experiences and I can't fight the tide anyway. Apologies for the rudeness. Keep doing your thing and good fishing.

Jess Winter I know the feeling . These reels aren’t beating out shimanos .. lol me personally will use this on my frogging rod which I don’t use all that often until the thick grass is up . But it’s not an everyday reel like others
