Thanks for informative and helpful video as usual. 👍🐟 If I'm not mistaking this reel is for right hand people. There are historical reasons why people in the US reel the line in with the right hand. I have both left and right hand baitcasters. It doesn't bother me so 😀

The tradition is that for reels mounted under the rod, your power hand should be used to manage the rod and the non-dominant hand crank the reel. The opposite occurs for reels mounted above the rod. The rod is managed by the weaker hand and the reel is cranked by the dominant one. So, a bait caster would be right sided for a right handed person and the spinning reel would be a left handed crank for the right handed person. Thanks for the note and for watching - Dennis

Hey I was wondering if you had any ideas on where to find a replacement drag knob for a spinning reel. I took my friend out for the first time and set him up with a nice spinning reel (chinese brand bought for 30 bucks at a tackle shop) to replace his inconsistent spin caster. A couple hours in the drag knob and reel go flying off I was able to get the reel back luckily I tied the braid on well but the drag knob was lost to the depths so I was wondering where I could find a new knob for it you seemed like the best bet.

THat's not easy because the threads and diameters of the axle shafts are vary. I think you will need to find a donor reel to get the part if you do not have any contact information from the reel manufacturer - Dennis
