You’d expect that. Louise Berridge constructed their arc perfectly and it was that coupled with the cutting out of Kat.’s tendency to self-sabotage and trauma-pondering that allowed her and Alfie to go out in style during a correspondingly vintage year. On the other hand the 2010s wasn’t the greatest decade for either the show or the writing for Kalfie. Now I’m over them and wouldn’t mind her marrying Phil after-all. She ain’t got nothing but a scattered man-baby Jack-the-cheeky-lad to lose at this stage and she’s already closed the door on him.
