I actually found this song quite a few years before I ever knew or it may have been that I wasn't paying any attention at the time it had aired on a Law & Order SVU episode, and I had heard of the artist and maybe a handful of other songs that at the time I thought were ok at best. However this song is particularly a bit different than many of her others, but in my own opinion I believe this type of song, the way in which it flows so easily and effortlessly between actual hard punchy rap like vocals into very well exicution and delivery of great timbre/tonal melodious singing with excellent vocal range, this method/ ability and/or genre is 100% the direction in which she should have went with her music. Who knows the wide range of fans at many different age groups she could have reached and actually how big she could have become. She is still by all means a great artist/singer/song writer/performer, and with this song I put her right up there with artist like Lauren Hill who also had this great ability to just this and effortlessly flow between and blend two completely different singing styles with the end result being something of a masterpiece
